hey guys! i'm sora! i've been hanging out in this world for about five months now!

i wanted to asked everyone something that might help me figure out what i'm looking for. i wanted to ask what you think a heart is made out of.

and i don't mean your heart that makes your body work. i mean your heart. the thing inside of you that makes you who you are. that makes you happy or feel great. that makes you angry or cry. the heart inside of you that makes you part of everything around you or makes you see the light or darkness in your world.

i guess some people would call those souls? but i've always known them as hearts!

i wanna know what you think makes you, you. what your heart says about you! and how you think it got there.

[Honestly, he was half expecting Sora to say that darkness is bad and everything, so this actually surprises him a little. Not enough for Hans to stop being himself, but hey, he'll give some credit.]

Is that why you haven't told everyone that I've tried to kill Queen Elsa and Princess Anna yet? Because I'm not fully terrible? Although, the queen is no longer with us anyway.

[The day Hans figured that bit out, he had... a lot of mixed feelings. But no need to talk about that.]

well, i don't know. why did you want to do all that stuff in the first place? can you tell me that?

[Sora isn't about some sort of weird smear campaign even if he dislikes Hans for what he did very much. He wouldn't trust him to be around the princess and the queen ever again but. Why? How did it all start?]

What do you want to hear? That I've had a terrible childhood and I just wanted to prove to my brothers that I'm worth something by becoming king of Arendelle?

Or maybe I tried to kill them because I just wanted power? Having The Southern Isles just wasn't enough.

[Now he's not sure if Hans is telling the truth or not. For all he knows, he might just be. So he pokes a little...]

is that it? you wanted to prove to everyone what you were worth?

prove you were something more?

i think we all feel like that sometimes?

Would it matter either way? It doesn't change the fact that I was only a few seconds away from killing both Elsa and Anna.

i won't deny it, i don't like you for trying to do that. whatever your reasons are you shouldn't hurt other people to get what you want

but that's the darkness in your heart talking. something that makes you want to fight for all your worth to prove something. it's not always a bad thing, but it can be

changing how you deal with yourself is what changes a heart too

Truly, Sora? Do you think I'd be able to change for the better, as you put it?

i don't think that's something i can really tell you, hans

you're gonna have to figure that one out yourself

[It's too late for him, at least, that's what he thinks. Still, he decides to just continue with this line of thought, amuse Sora, just... just because. He guesses.]

But you're willing to give me a second chance, just like Queen Elsa. Have I mentioned that to you before? That one of the few times I've ran into our mutual friend, she was willing to give me another opportunity.

[Uh huh, sure you are, Hans.]

you know i'm not really surprised to hear that, the queen has a super good heart.

so what do you think you're gonna do with that?

[He doesn't bother writing anything in response regarding Elsa. It's not like he disagrees really--]

Make plenty of friends and assist in helping this world become a better place.

[Well, writing that out is one thing but believing it and doing it is another. Sora's answer is genuine, though.]

[For a few seconds, Hans rereads Sora's response over and over, as if trying to figure out if he's being sarcastic or not. It can definitely be read as such, but... this is Sora he's dealing with and he knows enough about him to wager that he probably actually means it.

Actually, he doesn't know what to say, so he's just gonna let Sora have this one. Dang.]
