Why yes. It did really work. The owlets managed to calm down as soon as I began to sing to them.

how long did it last? the calm

( he's never tried singing - but then again, the owl he knows would've hated it. )

It does manage to last for a couple of hours before we brought the owlets back to the mother owl.
