It's been a couple months now, so i've gotta ask...
Does anybody here actually understand how this dreamotion stuff works?! I tried watching people, I tried asking the locals about it, I tried doing it myself, and it's not making any frickin sense! it's like magic right? so maybe i'm just no good for it, my people aren't exactly known for their skill with astral artes.
[unless you're Rinwell. But she's special.]
Unless somebody can actually teach me maybe I should just give up. It's not like I actually need this stuff, right?

But okay, fine. Give him a couple minutes, as he slowly thinks over how he uses chi, and tries to equate that to dreamotion.]
So just... use breathing techniques to control dreamotion? Am I getting that right?

Yeah, new things are much easier to learn if you can reference the process with something you're already familiar with. Try it in a dreamscape where your actual chi is dampened, and start with the simplest martial arte you know. I did it with Demon Fist, myself.

The simplest... Guess that's Fang Blast, then.

He hasn't heard of that one, but granted, just because their worlds had some terminology in common didn't necessarily mean anything in the big picture.]
Once you get the hang of the basics, the rest should come naturally. Self-improvement artes are good to try this with too, those that normally help you sharpen your focus and fight better. They're also easier to modify with dreamotion, so you could experiment with different effects.

[You're giving him a lot to think about here, Jude.
He's not sure he likes it.]

I know Steel, too. Maybe I could show you, if both our versions roughly do the same thing?

Okay. Where should we meet? Maybe in a dreamscape, to be practical?

[He wasn't too keen on trying to practice dreamotion in christmasland.]
