It's been a couple months now, so i've gotta ask...

Does anybody here actually understand how this dreamotion stuff works?! I tried watching people, I tried asking the locals about it, I tried doing it myself, and it's not making any frickin sense! it's like magic right? so maybe i'm just no good for it, my people aren't exactly known for their skill with astral artes.

Unless somebody can actually teach me maybe I should just give up. It's not like I actually need this stuff, right?

[Law raises an eyebrow at Alphen, leaning forward.]

No way, man, we fought the Great Spirit! I was like BAM and it went HROOOARGH and then you went WHAM and then it was all over! Well, until things went sideways with trying to cu--

[He cuts himself off. He doesn't get it, but if Alphen really doesn't remember this stuff, then...]

Crap, wait, maybe I shouldn't say anything, I don't wanna be the guy who blurts out spoilers.

Wait. We really beat the Great Spirit?

[ This is a big deal. Their options for confronting the Great Spirit were limited because it's massive. Just when Alphen starts thinking they're in over their heads on this Law says they've actually won. ]

Our memories and experiences might be different but I trust you all the same. That will never change. I need to know what happened! What happened to the people of Dahna and our world? [ More importantly what happens to Shionne and their friends? Law seems to have answers and Alphen just looks anxious. ]

[This feels so weird to Law. He's not used to being the guy who knows things.]

Dahna's fine, man. Or will be fine, I guess. We got a long way to go before things are good there, y'know.

You're right about that. There's still so many things that need to happen before our world can be at peace.

[ It's hard to undo the damage caused by 300 years of war. Conflict between the Dahnans and Renans was ever present. Alphen believes that they can move forward into a better future if they can see eye to eye. He's willing to put work into rebuilding the realm. Of course, there is something else on his mind. ]

Will Shionne be saved too? She has her thorns and I want to live in future where she's there with all of us. We can't abandon one of our own.

Come on, Alphen. This is you we're talking about here.

[Law offers Alphen a smile.]

Do you really think you'd save the world and not the girl?

Then we really did it? Thank you, Law. That's a heavy weight you've lifted off my shoulders.

It's like all I could think about was how we were going to eventually defeat the Great Spirit. I'll make it up to you sometime.

[ Don't make it up to Law by feeding him a lot of food that'll give him stomach issues, Alphen. ]

Just don't make it up to me with food, alright?

[Speaking of food, he eats another mouthful of the soup. You know, while it's hot.]

Unless it's with more of my dad's soup, that is!

Your dad's cooking really hits the spot and keeps you full for a long time.

I hope the taste is fine. It's not the best but I really tried.
