And I'm going to guess these "other things" you mentioned have been figuring out each other's preferences and learning how to be with them.

You would be more or less correct, yes. Mostly it is jut figuring out one another.

It's not as though I really knew what I was experiencing. I liked what had happened and wanted it to happen again.
