Well from what I know of dates, the big one is don't do anything stupid or embarrassing. Also don't act like some stuck-up jerk, people don't really like that. Most of what I hear about dates is that you just do some of the same stuff that you might do with a really close friend, only there might be some hand holding or kissing involved.
But I think so long as you aren't an arrogant guy or a raving asshole you're probably fine?

That's what I was thinking, but can never be too careful.
Do you have any prior experience?

But I've seen movies and read books, so I kind of have a bit of an idea?
Honestly, to me, it sounds like a lot of people just overcomplicate things for themselves.
I mean, I get being nervous hanging out with someone you like, but if they're close enough to be like a friend, what makes it so different from hanging out with a really close friend?
At least, that's what I always thought.

But it's still good to hear other perspectives as my own is fairly limited.

Though treating them to something nice isn't a bad idea.
Maybe if they like a certain food or some sort of treat, you can surprise them with something like that.
Hey, nothing wrong with that.
First time for everything, right?

Thanks for the advice.
[ie, figure out what she likes since they actually haven't eaten together much. Not enough to fully figure out her tastes, anyway.]

And godspeed fending off those trolls. [He might have seen the start of a couple of the responses.]

[Genuinely, too, even if it might be hard to come across in text.]
