I would do a lot of errands back home and there was this one couple that helped me find work. They always fought a lot but that was because they were really close.

One time they even invited me over to dinner and it was great.

So spending time with the ones you love must be important!

However in my personal opinion and from what I've seen, communication is also important. Not smothering each other would also be important...there will be times when each person will want their own space, so respecting boundaries would also be important.
