Audio Broadcast | April 9th

Hello and good afternoon, everyone! Thank you for tuning into 66.6 AM! I'm Alastor, your host and local Radio Demon!

Things have been quite exciting this week, haven't they? An influx of technology and the current Flower Festival certainly spice up this little dream world of ours! I for one have been enjoying the lead-up to all of this with the Flower King and Queen elections. One of the candidates in particular was quite entertaining by attempting to bribe favors for votes!

I asked for the election results in time for the broadcast but sadly was turned down since the organizers wanted to do a formal crowning for the announcement. One more night of speculation on all our parts, it seems! C'est la vie!

Instead, I've got a treat for you tonight, ladies and gentlemen: Luca Balsa has volunteered as a guest tonight to discuss his attempts at building generators for consistent electricity!

But first, here's the Glenn Miller Orchestra with "Moonlight Serenade"!

Sorry we're late!

[ Sorry if it takes a moment for Luca to respond. He asked to see Alastor's recording equipment (in spite of how creepy Alastor can be at times) but no. It's just Alastor talking. And somehow it gets broadcast to the new radios.

So he ends up sputtering a bit when Alastor starts asking him stuff. ]

I- AH! Yes... Ahem. Hello, everyone. My name is Luca Balsa, I'm an inventor by trade, and I've been living in Songerein for... Ah. For as long as you, I think? How long has it been?
allegedprisoner: (And I'm no vandal nor)

Seven months...! Goodness. I didn't realize it myself.

[ Then Alastor mentions the electric generators and Luca goes off. ]

Actually, I was planning on utilizing an entirely new method to generate energy! See, the current method people have been using is powering their devices through raw dreamotion energy. However, the amount of energy needed for a small device can easily tire the average person. Very impractical and dangerous, you can imagine--

BUT! With my generators, one would only need a tiny bit of dreamotion a night, and the generators will do the rest through the power of perpetual motion! Perhaps you may have heard of it?
allegedprisoner: (I rigged up a watch)

Gladly! A perpetual motion machine is a device that could, hypothetically, keep moving indefinitely with no outside force.

[ And then the man continues to ramble on for a good few minutes, explaining how true perpetual motion is thought impossible due to the laws of physics, to the point where there's probably a ban on patenting such machines where he's from. ]

But as you may know, there are many impossible things happening in this world all the time. Who's to say we can't use these impossibilities to our advantage? The prototypes I've made so far have utilized the dreamotion crystals that have been found in salvaged appliances and such as part of the design. If my theory is correct, we need only use a bit of energy stored in the stones to set the generator in motion and let the generators do the rest!
allegedprisoner: (but I wanted something more)

Precisely!

[ Those of you who cannot see Luca smiling right now can very much hear him doing so. That's how enthusiastic. ]

Besides, since the crystals are powered by dreammotion and people tend to accumulate that through dreams, who's to say we couldn't restart the generators in our sleep?
