Hello, this is Prince Hans of the Southern Isles. I've been informed that I've been asleep for the past month in something known as a 'sleep coma.' As such, I hope that explains my absence lately and I apologize for any missed dates I've had.
[Should he also apologize for worrying anyone? It's not something he feels accustomed to, especially not in a genuine manner. But apparently, there's been a couple of people that actually cared and. He doesn't know what to do with that right now, so he'll just continue writing.]
I'm not entirely sure how common such an incident is, but if anyone's curious, I'll do my best to provide details about the long sleep I was in. I'm just grateful that my body nor mind didn't degrade at all while in such a state.
[ooc: Also, if anyone wants to visit him in person, I'm cool with it!]

Ferran mentioned to me that I'm the second person he knows that's fallen into this sleep. I wouldn't worry too much about it, not until it becomes more of a common occurrence. It's entirely random, from what little I know about this.
[He barely holds back a comment that it only affects terrible people, because he's still trying to have a normal conversation.]
no subject
i guess so! so long as you're okay too! a month is a long time!
i mean i slept for a whole year once so at least it wasn't that bad, right?
[What was that about sleep comas only being for terrible people? Untrue.]
no subject
No, I can hardly say that a month is comparable to a year. I'm assuming that such an incident happened to you back home, but you've also recovered from it without issue.
[Well, Hans thinks that maybe some things were lost while Sora was asleep, but he's playing nice.]
no subject
yeah, it happened to me before coming to this place. it was a weird time but i had a few friends watching out for me while i was sleeping. my head was all messed up so that's why i needed to nap for so long.
[He writes like it's no big deal to have his memories shattered and put back together again?? For a whole year??]
no subject
Your head was so damaged that you slept an entire year. What sort of injury did you even sustain? I'm not a medic, but that sort of trauma seems rare and difficult to recover from.
no subject
um, well i guess something happened to my memories that they got all jumbled up? someone had to put them back together in the right order and it took a while
no subject
Although, I'm sure your friends did everything they could to help.
no subject
[Just a year-long coma. No big deal?]
i had some friends looking out for me while i was asleep. my best friend was one of them.
private;
Did you know that your friends would watch over you? ...Did you trust them that much?
private;
why?
no subject
I didn't expect anyone to watch over me during my sleep. [He didn't think anyone would want to, really.]
Yet, someone did. For the entire time.
no subject
[He's actually really happy to read this.]
no subject
I've never had a friend like this before.
no subject
it's way better than dealing with things by yourself, huh?
[Sora wouldn't have liked to wake up alone. And he's sure Hans wouldn't have either.]
no subject
It certainly has its benefits. Who knows what state I would've been in if he wasn't there.
no subject
[Har har.]
i'm really happy to hear it, you know? a real friend watches out for you like that. all you gotta do is care about them just as much too!
no subject
That sounds utterly exhausting.
[Besides, now it complicates things a little if he wants to betray Ferran later for... power or something. Maybe he's secretly a little glad that there's little here to be tempted by.]
no subject
geeze, who knew having friends could be so exhausting it's almost like good things take a lot of good work
but I bet you're happy about it
[Admit it, dude. It's better than trying to get anywhere by being a jerk.]
no subject
[He'll just throw that out there still, because let it be known, he worked hard to be a complete asshole and get a kingdom through betraying everyone around him.]
So happy that you want to be my friend too?
[He's not entirely serious but also maybe this isn't the best person to toss this sort of sarcasm at.]
no subject
[Just saying!]
but you know what? yeah, i think i could be your friend. you did save my butt before already.
[Reverse uno card.]
no subject
[The true lesson to be learned there.]
You're supposed to say no, especially since Queen Elsa was your friend.
no subject
[SIGH.]
and she's still my friend! still doesn't stop the fact that you seem different now.
no subject
And who you calling different!! Okay, even Hans can admit that things for him are different now compared to when he first arrived. Getting friends, Queen Elsa giving him another chance for whatever reason, and just overall less murderous tendencies, if only because there's no reason to here. It's still something.]
Yes, because you know me so well.
no subject
[Yeah, he's going back to that moment in time again. He sees you, Hans.]
it's not a bad thing, you know?
no subject
[Going back to that incident, but Hans knows there's little point in denying that he actually helped Sora back a couple of months ago.]
But I suppose you would argue otherwise. I know that as well, Sora.
