Hello, this is Prince Hans of the Southern Isles. I've been informed that I've been asleep for the past month in something known as a 'sleep coma.' As such, I hope that explains my absence lately and I apologize for any missed dates I've had.

[Should he also apologize for worrying anyone? It's not something he feels accustomed to, especially not in a genuine manner. But apparently, there's been a couple of people that actually cared and. He doesn't know what to do with that right now, so he'll just continue writing.]

I'm not entirely sure how common such an incident is, but if anyone's curious, I'll do my best to provide details about the long sleep I was in. I'm just grateful that my body nor mind didn't degrade at all while in such a state.

Ferran mentioned to me that I'm the second person he knows that's fallen into this sleep. I wouldn't worry too much about it, not until it becomes more of a common occurrence. It's entirely random, from what little I know about this.

[He barely holds back a comment that it only affects terrible people, because he's still trying to have a normal conversation.]

No, I can hardly say that a month is comparable to a year. I'm assuming that such an incident happened to you back home, but you've also recovered from it without issue.

[Well, Hans thinks that maybe some things were lost while Sora was asleep, but he's playing nice.]

yeah, it happened to me before coming to this place. it was a weird time but i had a few friends watching out for me while i was sleeping. my head was all messed up so that's why i needed to nap for so long.

[He writes like it's no big deal to have his memories shattered and put back together again?? For a whole year??]

Your head was so damaged that you slept an entire year. What sort of injury did you even sustain? I'm not a medic, but that sort of trauma seems rare and difficult to recover from.

um, well i guess something happened to my memories that they got all jumbled up? someone had to put them back together in the right order and it took a while

And once all of your memories were placed in the right order, you just woke up? I won't ask for the specifics, since you were asleep during that time, but it's lucky that you woke up at all.

Although, I'm sure your friends did everything they could to help.

yeah that about sums it up. once i got my memories back i woke up.

i had some friends looking out for me while i was asleep. my best friend was one of them.

did i know before i fell asleep? yeah, sure. i knew they wouldn't leave me there all by myself. and i trust riku with anything including watching over my sleepy butt.

[WHO SAID THAT-- okay it's true, it's been true for a while now. He's known that Ferran has counted him as a friend for a long time, but... guess it never really hit him until Ferran watched him for a month, making sure that he was okay.]

I've never had a friend like this before.

[Sora wouldn't have liked to wake up alone. And he's sure Hans wouldn't have either.]

It certainly has its benefits. Who knows what state I would've been in if he wasn't there.

[Ugh, what a gross thought!! A prince waking up to his own drool... nothing like the fairy tales. Then again, he sort of ruined it by being a turd in the first place.]

That sounds utterly exhausting.

[Besides, now it complicates things a little if he wants to betray Ferran later for... power or something. Maybe he's secretly a little glad that there's little here to be tempted by.]

[He'll just throw that out there still, because let it be known, he worked hard to be a complete asshole and get a kingdom through betraying everyone around him.]

[He's not entirely serious but also maybe this isn't the best person to toss this sort of sarcasm at.]

And who you calling different!! Okay, even Hans can admit that things for him are different now compared to when he first arrived. Getting friends, Queen Elsa giving him another chance for whatever reason, and just overall less murderous tendencies, if only because there's no reason to here. It's still something.]

i think i know you well enough to know you're the type of guy to help someone out instead of leaving them behind now. that's a pretty big deal.
