I have two inquiries to those who are familiar with magic.

RE: SEALING MAGIC
I'd like to know if anyone knows a way to cast some kind of sealing or restraining magic on an accessory or item that could be used to suppress one's own magic or curse. If need a more specific situation, an emergency case where one's powers are running out of control and needs to be contained. The ideal goal would be that it could affect nightmare energy, but that might be more difficult without further knowledge.

[He is definitely asking for specific reasons, but good thing there have been several occasions where things went wildly out of control last month that it won't seem too random.]

RE: TELEPORTATION MAGIC
Similarly, I wish to create some kind of portal that would allow me to easily traverse between my home and other locations that I currently own with potential to add on in the future. [Because it's about time he just accepts he owns these dogs and getting to the Corgi Tree and the Flowers home more instantaneously would be ideal. Though already future proofing? What could he be considering...] Ideally it would be a door with a function to change the location.

This might be a complicated request, if it's even possible, but even just information on how it might work will be appreciated.

Well, anchoring it felt like the most important aspect. Mentally, emotionally, physically. The more familiar I was with a place, the more connected I was, the easier a portal was to make. And I had physically to make it. For me, it had to be something natural like a ring of grass or stones, but I doubt Fae restrictions are relevant here. So maybe making or carving a new door yourself or something could work well for you.

Interesting, but I can understand the logic of it. Were there any limitations on what or how many could go through the portal at a time? Distance as well.

I could take one person with me at most. I only ever managed to make two at a time, and that already felt like a lot to maintain. And I did have to maintain it, it wasn't just a one-time permanent thing.

As far as distance, I couldn't tell you much. The space outside the city I was living was infected with a magical plague, so travel wasn't really a thing, and I wasn't interested in risking it. [Hmm.] But Aefenglom was definitely a lot bigger than this place. I mean, you're not trying to make a door into the wilds, right?

Just exhaustion. Though it could be I psyched myself out by thinking about radiation sickness. You can probably literally worry yourself sick here, huh?

In fairness that was a high intense stress situation. I commend your ability to not lose your control back there and you should try and take it easy for now.

Summoning the stones out of thin air was my own magic.

And you were never comfortable using it, I take it. Understandable.

Regardless, it helped us out back there and we likely would have failed without it. I hope you never have to use it again.

Thanks, but I'm not going to be holding my breath on that one. I'm sure it won't be the last time I'll have to use a power I don't want to.
