Subject: Sealing and Teleportation Magic

I have two inquiries to those who are familiar with magic.

RE: SEALING MAGIC
I'd like to know if anyone knows a way to cast some kind of sealing or restraining magic on an accessory or item that could be used to suppress one's own magic or curse. If need a more specific situation, an emergency case where one's powers are running out of control and needs to be contained. The ideal goal would be that it could affect nightmare energy, but that might be more difficult without further knowledge.

[He is definitely asking for specific reasons, but good thing there have been several occasions where things went wildly out of control last month that it won't seem too random.]


RE: TELEPORTATION MAGIC
Similarly, I wish to create some kind of portal that would allow me to easily traverse between my home and other locations that I currently own with potential to add on in the future. [Because it's about time he just accepts he owns these dogs and getting to the Corgi Tree and the Flowers home more instantaneously would be ideal. Though already future proofing? What could he be considering...] Ideally it would be a door with a function to change the location.

This might be a complicated request, if it's even possible, but even just information on how it might work will be appreciated.

And so we shall. Do keep me apprised of your availability, won't you? I've another project in the works which is proving to be unexpectedly elaborate in its scope, yet not so much that I wouldn't be capable of devoting my attention to helping you solve your little magic problem.

And nay. The spell itself wouldn't do any harm to the individual - or the item. The only risk is if the seal itself is somehow broken. Then, of course, you'd be right back where you first started.

The question, therefore, lies with the magical energy being inhibited. If tamped down, would that energy remain dormant, or would its potency continue to increase even whilst restrained? Thus my proposal for a meeting.

So I've noticed! Ah, how very interesting that so many of us share in that ability. I suspect when it comes right down to it, some few of these systems and magicks may not be so dissimilar that they cannot be combined in an effective and meaningful way.

That all makes sense. As this question isn't about me but of others, I'll speak to them and try to arrange something.

I'll continue to gather information and try to gather everyone who can help. I believe the one that will connect to the Corgi Tree will be the most difficult as it will lead out to the Wildlands.

On a tangent, another idea was proposed. What is your knowledge on portable talismans or charms that could use as a teleportation spell? I've used them before in another world, but I never learned the actual spell for it.

Oh, don't mention it. In the meantime I shall keep my ears and eyes open. Though perhaps I should be inquiring as to your reasons for wanting to connect a portal from the Wildlands to the Corgi Tree in the first place.

As for your tangent: I do in fact possess knowledge in the creation of what you might call talismans - they were crystals, specifically. The ones I fashioned were imbued with memories rather than with a single spell, yet even memories can hold magicks.

If a favorable incantation can be found to suit your needs and allow you to teleport as you wish, and if you are able to provide me with either the basis for the spell or someone who is versed in its use, then yes, recording it into a portable crystal form would be a possibility.

Convenience. I live within town while the corgis prefer to remain in their original home, the tree out in the Wildlands. It's not that difficult or long of a walk, but it would make things easier if I could access it faster, same for the dogs. I have considered moving there and likely will in the future, but currently there are more conveniences to living in town and I'd have to do some renovations which would take time. It's also a useful location should I ever need to stay out there late.

[In other words, it's his second home that's out of the way from town when he wants to relax with his dogs.]

But I see. An incantation... If I were to find one in a book, would that suffice?

[Shot in the dark, but with the new Tree of Stories and so many different people from different worlds, maybe not so difficult.]

[Ah yes... the dogs. Not that Emet-Selch has anything against them, personally. And even given the very specific nature of the request, there's bound to be some knowledge to be gleaned from offering to help.]

Well, convenience is as good a reason as any, I should think. Besides, there may come a time when quick access to the Wildlands is needed for other purposes as well.

But, yes. A written incantation would suffice. In fact, if such a tome were found it might prove a much easier option. Less room for error, you see. And less hassle as a bonus.
