Passive Dream: Kero's True Form

[Perhaps it is because she is unsure, worried, about the risk of exposing herself here, Kero exposing himself to protect her if things were dangerous. But she is remembering the time she first discovered his True Form....

Another day, another Card to deal with. It seems. Normal, at least for Sakura given the last few years, even if there was a quieter period in between while Syaoran was away in Hong Kong. Once she had handled the Sakura Cards. She is trying to work on sealing Firey away, one of the four stronger Element cards, along with the other three of Watery, Windy and Earthy. She is struggling against Firey with just trying to use Windy, so switches it out to try Watery figuring that would be more effective. They're pretty evenly matched though, but not when Sakura manages to summon both Windy and Watery at once. She holds up her Sealing Staff, bringing it down against Firey.]

Now! Return to the form you were meant to be, Clow Card!

[The spirit of Firey is contained, sealed in card form. It's a relief, but Sakura doesn't really have time to bask in it. As the light from Kero and Mizuki-sensei holding him distracts her. As Kero glows, floating and becoming enveloped in huge white wings before being revealed in his True Form. A huge winged lion. Sakura stares in surprise and amazement. She asks who he is, Kero exclaiming that this is his True Form. That he got it just in time, as there's earthquakes occurring from Earthy. The earthquakes cause the ground to crack, Sakura falling down as a darker brown haired boy around her age, Syaoran, reaches to catch her hand and pull her back up. They discuss using their given names rather than surnames to each other, before Sakura heads off with Kero. Sakura asks if this was what was meant about the evil to befall the world if the Clow Card's seal was broken. Kero corrects her, telling her it is the work of Earthy. Sakura is told to use Firey on Kero, helping him to breathe fire as they fly to find the source, where Earthy really is. In using the Wood card, Sakura is able to restrain and capture Earthy.]

I did it!

[The last and final card. It had been a journey, even getting that far. Even before the Judgement. But that is where the dream leaves off. Prior to the revelations about Yue and Yukito. Sakura is beaming and seeming rather proud of herself yet as the dream fades off there. Though someone probably won't be thrilled about this being revealed. Even if Kero will find is freeing to not have to try hide his true nature as her Guardian.]

Exactly so. Yet not only that. Some are capable of viewing memories of the past. One might stand in the midst of a garden, for example, and see a vision of when the seeds were first planted and watered.

[But what she says next certainly takes him by surprise. Another civilization capable of creation magicks? It couldn't possibly be.]

Is Clow-san a mentor of yours? It isn't often I hear of others versed in the creation of living beings. It's something of a lost art, you see.

Oh? That sounds pretty amazing!

But hm. Clow-san is. Complicated. I heard stories about him from Kero-chan and Yue-san. I know both his reincarnations. I guess he's sort of like a mentor? Kind of. Eriol-kun, one of his reincarnations was guiding me without me initially realizing in changing the cards to work with my own magic, before Clow-san's faded from the cards.

The only thing I've made myself is more cards. I haven't made anything like Kero-chan myself though.

["Complicated" and then some perhaps. He's familiar with the concept of reincarnation (after a fashion) and even the possibility of possessing more than one, yet Clow-san seems both a slippery and intriguing man. Would he entrust a mere child with his magical legacy?]

Yet these cards of yours have the power to summon elementals, do they not? And besides. Given the nature of dreamotion here, I imagine you could make quite a lot of very different, very interesting sorts of things, if you believed it strongly enough.

Something like that. Earthy, Watery, Firey and Windy are the four elemental ones but there are others too. I just only here have Flight. From the cards I made myself. The rest are gone, here. I'm not sure what happened. I haven't yet made any while I've been here, but maybe I could.

Only four? How curious indeed. Which leaves me to wonder if your world has a simplified elemental system or if the others are simply too difficult to control.

--ah, nevermind. The point being, if you are capable of creating these cards of yours in your world, there's little to stop you from doing so here. In fact, you may be able to realize the ones with which you are familiar that you currently find to be missing. In theory, that is.

There are some few things which even I have not been able to call forth. My noble steed, for example. Though in my own defense, it has been awhile.

Just four elemental cards, yes. I'm not sure. It wasn't me that initially made them. It was another magician, the most powerful one back then. Clow-san did.

I guess I'll find out eventually. Depending on what my desires and wishes are, my emotions in the moment if any new ones show up here too. But ah, you can't do some things here?

Indeed.

Whether the magicks are incompatible with this place or whether the connection between this realm and my own are simply too weak, I know not. Yet have I found that there are several distinct limitations when it comes to dreamotion and its use.

Mostly concerned with size and complexity and duration.

Still. It is also much easier to develop new uses for magicks, so that, I suppose, is the compromise we must make.

Hm. I suppose it could be either option in why and how magic might be impacted here. I just know mine seems fine, if just having the one card here, and Kero-chan is alright with both his forms.

I guess I haven't properly practiced yet. New magic. The dream magic here.

Yes, well. Perhaps it's your pure, young heart that makes tapping into your magickal potential so easy.

[He's only half-joking, actually.]

In any case, should you ever wish to practice it, I've no doubt you'll find many a willing teacher.

My pure, young heart? I don't know. I thought maybe it was a genetic thing.

You think so? I haven't really asked. Yet. I know Mei-chan was looking at a school or something though! Maybe that can be an option? Class? Or something like that?

A "genetic thing"? Oh please. Although magickal ability can be passed down from one generation to another, one must still put in the work to truly master it.

And yes, an akademia of some sort sounds like an excellent idea, and one most welcome. Just because we are dreaming does not, after all, mean we should cease learning and expanding our own horizons.

I suppose. I didn't grow up learning about magic or anything the same way as Syaoran-kun did.

I'm used to going to school. So. It's a little strange not to be. I figure the magic is part of this place so we should probably figure it out.

[recreator]

You and many others. Some peoples live out their lives unaware that magicks exist at all.

But indeed am I inclined to agree with you. I too would like to see more academic options for those who wish to continue their schooling. Even if not an akademia in a traditional sense, at least in public classes and demonstrations. Perhaps there are some who would even volunteer to instruct others in what they know.

I had no real idea. Not until I found the book. I mean. Onii-chan could see ghosts, but other than that. I had no clue about anything like all this except from stories or movies or something.

But I know Mei-chan was looking at the idea of a school? So that might work out. If we get enough people keen to help out with different topics? subjects?

None at all?

I wish I could say I was surprised, but as I mentioned, it is not at all uncommon for such knowledge to remain hidden. And how do you feel now that you know otherwise? Have your powers made life easier, or do you sometimes find yourself wishing to go back to the way it was before?

As for the school, I believe such help will not be difficult to come by. Perhaps I'll even consider teaching something should my other plans fall through.

[It is true that Hythlodaeus thought he would be well-suited as a teacher. Though whether he has the patience is another story altogether.]

Even back home, only a few people know about my magic. Most have no idea about it. But I guess it's a good thing? I wouldn't have met Syaoran-kun otherwise. He'd have had no reason to come to Japan from Hong Kong if I didn't find Clow-san's book. And I met Eriol-kun too!

You would? What would you teach?

So in the end your magickal talents led you to your allies. Or more specifically, they called your allies to you.

And what indeed. I suppose it would all depend upon my mood. Magickal theory, perhaps. Or alchemy. Or for a change of pace, mayhap history or literature.

[keystaff]

Something like that. I guess that's true.

Alchemy? That's um. Science? Right? But back home at least we have chemistry now, that I think took over after that?

It is a science, yes, but one with a slightly more "mystical" approach. Through alchemy, one can change normal, everyday items into useful potions and elixers, or even into precious metals like gold and silver.

Among alchemists, many go on to take up the study of medicine.

[keystaff]

It sounds so amazing! I think I remember something about gold with alchemy, but all of that was a long time ago, back home.

I'm still not sure on what I want to do after school yet.

[recreator]

Yes. 'Tis a very useful area of study when one is in need of rare substances that cannot easily be found. From furniture and tools, to clothing, jewelry and even culinary dishes - all benefit through alchemy.

As for what to do after you have completed your studies, perhaps you will find some answers here.

I'm not sure if just anyone could learn alchemy or if there's something special or?

Maybe. Besides school, I figured I should try figure something to keep myself busy. Make myself useful somehow at least. Something part time?

Not necessarily. While alchemy is not for everyone, with the proper focus and tools, it is accessible to almost anyone.

As for the rest, I suggest you consider your skills. What you're good at and what you like to do. It will make the work far less bothersome.

Almost anyone? I think I probably have enough with figuring this place and all to put anything else on the list. But it does probably seem safer to look at alchemy in comparison to the magic here.

What I'm good at though. I'm good at sports? And I'm alright with baking and cooking?

[recreator]

The key to dreamotion is in understanding your emotions and not allowing yourself to be overcome by them.

As for the rest, you could easily start up a club. Gather others who are athletically-minded and enjoy various games.
