Greetings and felicitations, fellow dreamwalkers.

In case we are yet unacquainted, I am Emet-Selch. And rather than an inquiry, today I would extend an open invitation to all of you.

Over the past several months I have been working together with my most gracious hosts at the Grand Theatre House in a collaborative effort to bring something new and inspired to Reverein. In order to do this, I would seek talented individuals to join my theatre company.

Rather than hold a private audition, however, I thought it far more exciting to prepare a much larger event for all to partake in. After all, many of us are possessing of unique skills and fascinating abilities, so why not indulge the opportunity to showcase these talents upon a magnificent stage?

Thus have I decided to hold the REVEREIN TALENT SHOW. Whether you've an inclination towards the performing arts or not, you are all welcome to attend, or to simply savor a few moments in the spotlight if that is your desire. There will be rewards, of course. And those who have earned a place within my company will be announced at the conclusion of the event. If the idea of being judged frightens you, there will also be opportunity for improvisational and free-form performances following the main attraction.

Details are as outlined below, and I am available for anyone who has further questions about the competition. Anyone who should like to join our staff is encouraged to reach out to either myself or the Grand Theatre House managerial staff. At this time, we are yet seeking additional seats for our judges panel as well as those who might volunteer their time and talents to make this event a true spectacle.

The competition will be held early next month, over a course of two evenings on the 5th and 6th days. I trust this will allow everyone ample opportunity to perfect their routines. And with that, I shall eagerly await the chance to witness your performances.

...But she'd also like to finish all the acts with a nice little wrap-up. Nothing to judge, nothing that'll go on the stage in a long-standing fashion, but she'd like to invite the judges up on stage to sit and relax while she'll do some speed cooking! She'd like to make some lovely banana creme pie for them as quickly as she can while the carbuncles that now live with her do their best to interrupt and make a mess of things as a clownish slapstick act. This will, of course, be accompanied by... very strange music. Slapstick is timed with the discordant notes.

The final 'tumbling death' of the song is joined by a carbuncle tripping her up as she fights to keep herself upright and balance a pie in each hand, winding up getting one in her face... but the other is lost into the face of an """""unexpected""""" member of the judge's panel.

Upon which, she'll bow and exit stage right. Very quickly.

While the main focus will indeed be on each individual's performance, I find that setting a complementary visual mood enhances the feeling and tone one seeks to convey.

Presently we've a number of musical acts, an aerial silks performance, several dramatic skits, a comedy sketch -- oh, and an animal act. Nothing dangerous. I believe they mentioned birds.

Well, I can’t say that I have any remarkable talents to perform for the show with besides swinging on vines and making plants grow, but I can offer some plant and floral arrangements for the venue if you want to.

I’m currently working on setting up a flower shop at the moment and I wish to gain some more experience before I can open it.

If you desired it, I'm all but certain we could devise a way to transform your botanical prowess into a performance piece, however I also understand that not everyone wishes to put on a show.

In light of that, I daresay the theatre house would serve you well as an opportunity to display your floral arrangements as works of art - and an excellent chance for exposure. Anyone who attends may remember your flowers when at last you've prepared to open up your shop.

Personally, I lack a green thumb. So any flora you'd be willing to provide would be most welcome.

My associates and I may be adding some of our own flourishes as well, so if you notice any locations within the theatre in need of additional lighting, or floating platforms that will make is easier for your flowers to be seen, do keep us apprised.

Yes, I do want to know more on what kind of theme I am going to work with and I would like to pay a visit to the theatre house too. I don’t want to get the arrangements to feel out of place on my first attempt.

The theming is straightforward enough. The event itself is about making memories, impressions - reflecting on the past, present and future and how these shining moments birth both feelings and stories.

I have, of course, taken some stylistic liberties... art deco, I believe most modern architects call it. Any plants you may find with tall, spiraling stems or draping vines would be particularly lovely as part of the display. Much of the interior is made up of neutral tones - warm browns and tans and gold, with the occasional pop of bolder colors serving as accents to catch the naked eye.

Therefore, I suspect, it should not be too difficult to fashion something to fit these surroundings.

Okay, thank you very much for the information, Sir. Now I got some ideas to work with while working on those arrangements for the talent show.

If there is something I’m stuck on at the moment or if I have made some progress, I will let you know ahead of time.

Both the theatre and myself are sparing no effort in making this an experience worthy of being remembered. Though even if that were not the case, I've no intention of declining anyone outright. There is yet much to be done, and this sudden change in the weather certainly isn't helping things.

Your application detailed your musical proficiencies, yet I should like to hear more of these "other areas" with which you are versed, if you would care to indulge me.

I've long been a patron of the theatre back home; though I did not perform along with the company, I do have a general idea of how things are done, and have dabbled in acting myself. My passions lean more towards poetry, but there is theatricality in that, as well. I consider myself a great supporter of the arts, though I realize in this world with no currency, being a financial patron is no longer an option.

I did have a striking turn as a Lindwurm in this world's rendition of Romeo and Juliet, some months back. I am told the death scene felt quite visceral to those watching.

Were you now? How fortuitous then that we should encounter one another. I, too, am a longtime patron of the arts - particularly that of a traveling theatrical company founded by one Jenomis cen Lexentale, and I daresay the best playwright of his time.

I've also a fondness for poetry. Perhaps you might incorporate one of your latest works into your violin performance?

Though the name is unfamiliar to me, that you speak so highly of his work reflects quite well on him. One thing I have most come to appreciate about this world is the opportunity to learn about certain facets of other cultures. Thusfar, my focus has been on the contrast between various schools of magic between worlds, but I should very much like to hear more about those worlds' artistic endeavors, as well. Storytelling is universal; this place itself is proof of that.

As for your suggestion, I am alarmed I had not thought to do so already! I suppose in taking something of a sabbatical from the violin for some time, it was not the first thing to come to mind, but I will take it under consideration. Doing so could produce something truly unique.

True enough. Even before the invention of written languages, stories came into existence, passed down from one generation to the next. Cautionary tales, the recounting of dreams, familiar fables to entertain both young and old alike. One could easily spend lifetimes and chronicle only the tiniest fraction of them.

As to magic, I daresay there is much and more to be learned if one puts forth the time and effort into doing so. Although my own research has mostly been focused on Dreamotion and the energies present here, I'd not be surprised to hear that the magical laws and capabilities of other worlds vary greatly from those with which I am familiar.

I'd never. Ryne already told me my jokes are abysmal, using something like 'dad jokes'. So you don't have to worry about those showing up. Unless someone else does.
