You ever just.

Lock yourself in your room for like a month and forget what time is? I mean, I guess I ate at least, and I didn't just fall asleep for a whole freakin' month like after the Medjed thing but

like

a whole. Month. Least it was fruitful.

Which uh, leads me to my actual question: who has some technology here with 'em? Phones, laptops, things that require a power source cause I think I figured out some dream crystal things, but it might require a more... ambient dream energy. Dunno how THAT is gonna be harnessed yet, but I need to know my many sleepless nights and curryless days weren't for nothing. Testing on my own stuff is fine, but knowing it's not just a fluke is even better.

Yeah! They'd work! I dunno how long I can keep 'em charged for, but that's what I'm trying to figure out -- a constant power source and not just a temporary one. This place had one before, I just gotta kickstart it.

No idea! It was dusty and gross when we got here. But the dream crystals can hold energy, and they were attached to appliances and stuff. So they had to have a way to harness ambient dreamotion to power everything, and I wanna find what it was.

It's been uhhh... about a year, and some good progress has been made, but not enough for my tastes.

Hmm... I don't think I've ever made a skateboard, but I know how they should be. Do you have the parts or do you need some? I'm not a super tech wizard so I can't just make the parts you need, but I can probably help if you need it.

I do like a good cup noodle, and a CURRY cup noodle sounds perfect. If I were at home for this I'd probably be eating konbini noods anyway, so that'll do the trick for me.

[Following the directions Futaba gave him and with the help of his newly-acquired skateboard, Beat is able to get to the treehouse with relative ease. He tucks his board under one arm, adjusting the other that held the bag of cup noodles he promised.

Making his way up, he raps his fist against the door as he calls out:]

Yo! Open up. It's Beat.

[It's quiet for a moment but there's some clattering and then the door opens. She's not as shy around Beat now, so she can at least smile and offer a little wave before the door fully swings open.]

Y-you got the g-goods?! The... [in a whisper] curry noods?

[OF COURSE he probably does, he has the bag there but... she's gotta be sure here.]

[He waves back but before he's able to say hi back, Futaba speaks to him in a whisper. So of course he does the same.]

Yeah, 'course I got the noods.

...Yo, why we whispering?

[True to Futaba form, this is not in a whisper] We can't let anyone else hear about this [and into a whisper] illicit noodle exchange [and back to normal voice] because.... because!!!

[He steps in once she steps aside, but the confused look on his face remains despite it. Just kind of scratching the back of his neck as he looks over to her.]
