You ever just.

Lock yourself in your room for like a month and forget what time is? I mean, I guess I ate at least, and I didn't just fall asleep for a whole freakin' month like after the Medjed thing but

like

a whole. Month. Least it was fruitful.

Which uh, leads me to my actual question: who has some technology here with 'em? Phones, laptops, things that require a power source cause I think I figured out some dream crystal things, but it might require a more... ambient dream energy. Dunno how THAT is gonna be harnessed yet, but I need to know my many sleepless nights and curryless days weren't for nothing. Testing on my own stuff is fine, but knowing it's not just a fluke is even better.

I appreciate that. It's got one hell of a targeting system programmed into it, bit of night-vision, and I only know enough to repair minor damage and get it working again. The biotic emitters basically recharge and contain nanites that do the healing in a certain area around it; haven't been using them around here much because it's not easy charging them here.

Ooh... that sounds like some futuristic hi-tech stuff. I'll see if I can get the nanites charged at least, and once I can figure out how to just... draw dream stuff from everyone here without them needing to go to a charging station— that's the goal here— it should work without needing its own station. Which, does it have one? Kinda like a cell phone charging dock? If it does, I can probably attach one of these crystals to it.

Good thing I picked up a fresh bag of beans the other day. How do you take it?

There's a charging station for them, yeah- portable one, I usually keep it in my bag when I travel but given no way to hook that up anywhere? Yeah. [He had two dead ones, and given how long he'd been here that was something; spoken of how he'd been trying not to use them at all.] It charges one at a time to be a portable charging station- so I guess it acts like an energy bank until it's depleted and needs a charge itself. Made for emergency field use and carried along to get multiple uses out of the emitters.

Plenty of cream and sugar! I do like some good coffee though, just enough cream and sugar to not drown out too much of the actual taste.

[She's got a pretty good taste for coffee since that's what Sojiro does with a bunch of coffee beans from all over the world... but nothing beats a cup made with love.]

I can probably charge it up, assuming it's not different than my laptop or whatever. Whatever you have, I can get it working FOR SCIENCE. Once we get an actual thing going, it'll be much easier to have just... technology.

Not too different, even if on of the sort of funny sights has been charging it up from a computer once or twice. If you ever need a fetch-quest taken care of, I don't mind being tapped to run it now and again. This place could do with a bit of... upgrading? Even if it'll start at the basics over time.

[At least the tree-houses came with indoor plumbing. He'd gotten a look at it in a few of them with running water.]

Ahhh you're the best! God I wish Sojiro was here, you could both swap recipes and make some really great food together.

[She really misses Sojiro, but she's got a cool Dad76 here now too.]

If I can find the crystals and where they came from, that would make things sooooo much easier. Maybe I'll just have to go and DO it, I got a Persona that can fly me around. Hm. I'll think that through for later because having so much limited is really irritating.

Just make sure if you make a venture of it? Don't go alone, since I'm sure some others would be interested in being a few sets of eyes on the look out. Would hope there'd be more than once place they could be after all.

Oh heck no. I can fly around, but taking on monsters or... whatever is out there isn't something I can do. I'm built for navigation.

I can probably rally people to do that if I can figure out where things are. Have you been out in the wilds, seen anything weird or out of the ordinary?

I've been out that pretty often, yeah. There's usually something weird and out of the ordinary.

You'd be wanting to look for some old ruined building structures I'd imagine, yeah?

Yep. Ruined buildings or an actual source for wherever these crystals came from, one or the other... or even both. Both would be great, it'd be like having electrical outlets in our houses again.

If you know your way around, would you go with? If I got this done, I mean.

Might, I figure I may be heading out that way and past for another reason, too. Think I can help with your thing and take Blue with us for added ground and air coverage. Use it as a bit of a refresher to prep for going further out, closer to the Wastelands.

[After what Tifa and Eustace went through? Would not hurt a bit to get a feel again, while making mental lists of extra gear to take. Who he should reach out to—]

Fair warning, someone might decide to tag along with me given the possible dangers the Wildlands pose.

[The fact his last hunting trip didn't turn out so well for him and... new developments. He'd at least tell Reaper about it and let him decide.]

The more the merrier! It'd make it a lot faster if more people went out to find anything we can get our hands on, and having people who know the area will make it even better. Do you know safe places to camp out if needed?

[Dad76 knows the most so far, and she wants the most info that he can give her about the Wastelands and beyond... if there is a beyond.]

I do, yeah. Need a way for it to be easier to haul gear needed for camping out? I know some farmers that would lend a few yetox and wagons, a few animals that would keep guard of them, too. Figure if they're willing to supply for my own trip out there, they'd be willing to for this, too.

Only part they wouldn't go is out into the Wastlands because of the sands, and the predators that hide in the sand. There are some places were it's solid stone and it's safer from those things, but you really don't want to linger in the Wastelands at all.

[He was hoping his own planned trip kept them to those cliffs, rather than out in the sands.]

That'd be awesome, actually, and that's good to know. Maybe I won't go too far out into the Wastelands, then. I doubt anything is really out there that I'd need, it sounds like it's more in the Outer Wilds? Like, old buildings or some of the other stuff you've found?

[All of this is being jotted down, this is great info for her to know for later, and seeing as how this is probably the most adventurous she's ever really been, she wants to get as much info as possible to not go in completely blind.]

I'll talk to them and get the wagon and animals ready for when you're ready to head out there with whoever else volunteers. Add in some supplies myself to help out with others who might know what they're doing, too.

There's been some strange formations out there that don't look like natural rock- they might be a good place to start. Places where there aren't a lot of trees.
