Thanksgiving 2022 Invitation and Menu
Sender: Alastor
To: Everyone
Subject: Invitation and Menu
Greetings and Salutations, everyone!
Those of you who were here last year will likely remember that at about this time I brought a certain tradition from the land I grew up in to Reverein with the help of Dreambucks. Well, this year I've partnered up with The Wild Harvest for a repeat performance tomorrow between noon and six PM!
For those unfamiliar with the tradition, the third Thursday of every November back where and when I grew up was reserved for the holiday known as Thanksgiving. It's intended to be a celebration to count one's blessings despite the hardships and setbacks of the previous year. More relevant to me, it's also a chance to show off one's prowess in the kitchen.
You'll find the menu is much the same as last year's, served buffet style. However, there will be space for others who have dishes they might want to share with their neighbors!
Do enjoy!
Sincerely,
Alastor
Menu
Herb Butter Roasted Turkey with optional giblet gravy
Roasted Boar
Mixed Greens Salad with French Bread Croutons
Mushroom Risotto
Potatoes Au Gratin
Green Bean Casserole with Andouille Sausage
Cornbread Dressing
Spinach Ring
Brioche Dinner Rolls
Pecan Pie
Pumpkin Pie
Beverages provided by The Wild Harvest

[He's joking...really.]

implying you want to eat your friends is not exactly in the spirit of the season

[You can trust this face.]

nobody gets offended or terrified, and if it's really good, you get a whole room groaning!

And I do know some good ones. Perhaps we'll have to share them.

you must prepare yourself, little man

[He's fully-armed.]

I must say, I'm growing fawn'd of where this is going, and I can go until the quack of dawn!

[Look, if you're going to wuss out, he'll do it himself.]

There would be hell-toupee!
[ and this is somehow better than wussing out? ]
