[Ok, this conversation has crossed over from curious to nosy. He has half a mind to tell the original poster that it's none of their business.

How did he do what? Start dating? Step 1. be as insulting as possible upon your first encounter. Step 2. Involuntary Memory share. Step 3. Challenge them to a competition and make sure you win. 4. Done.]

You ask a lot of questions.

It wasn't something that happened instantaneously. Originally, I actually found them frustrating, naïve, and simpleminded. [Doesn't this sound like perfect boyfriend material right here?] .. however, after we experienced a series of unusual circumstances together- reluctantly I might add -it was possible to see that there was more to them than originally assumed.

When it became difficult not to think about them, I knew.

[A gross over simplification, because he struggled with these feelings just as much if not more than Futaba is right now. Kaiba left out the lengthy period of denial.]

Huh. Doesn't sound like a rivals to lovers sort of story or something, just... normal, I guess.

So you just couldn't stop thinking about them? Like... were you thinking about holding their hand or kissing them or something and it just spiraled?

Heh, rival. Hardly. I don't think she even remembers the difference between a trap card and spell card. [Although he's attempted to teach Ann the game... No one was talking about Duel Monsters here but you, Kaiba. When he thinks "rival" he thinks about the pharaoh and card games.] I wouldn't call it .. normal. This wasn't supposed to happen. [Oh, if there was anything he hated it was to be equated with the average person.]

[That much is understandable. Kaiba dreads the day that his younger brother starts getting interested in dating... hopefully he never will. Stay young forever Mokuba]

Where we met wasn't the most static or safe environment. The world was always evolving, and many of those changes were hazardous or came with side effects. So if I didn't see them for a while..

.. it was concerning. .. And that's not a sensation I feel often. [Though more often than he claims. This explanation is subpar and he knows and hates it. Seto Kaiba should always be perfection personified, but with a prickly attitude.

They quite possibly were alike in a variety of ways, given their technophile natures. Futaba was ultimately the more personable of the two however, hands down.]
