Hi, I'm Jason. I'm new and had some questions.

I heard living arrangements here are kind of a free for all. How do people find themselves a place? I get that it's all just up for grabs, but do how do you know which are actually available? Do you just knock on doors or try to open them randomly? I'm kinda worried about just barging in on someone. Has anyone accidentally walked in on someone that forgot to lock up?

And what's the longest anyone's been here? My friend Leo said he knows someone who's been here for more than a year.

I've slept on the ground plenty during quests and stuff but the streets thing makes that way more depressing.

Anyway, I know there's magic involved, but a tree house with a fireplace still sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

I've seen bathrooms with normal plumbing in everything I've checked so far, thank the gods. There was a bathhouse too.

[Which may not be Nico's cup of tea but Jason grew up Roman, he's definitely been to communal bathhouses plenty.]

Can you make a zombie dog or something? A guard dog might feel less creepy than an undead guy just standing by the door all the time.

[No, it is not Nico's cup of tea. When he built his cabin or had zombies build it, he ensured there was a bathroom, so he didn't have to use the communal showers. Other cabins followed and built their own baths.]

There are some regular houses here besides the treehouses too. Do you have a preference?

[Nico's never been inclined to resurrect animals before. Outside of hell hounds, he's never been found of any that liked him.]

I don't know about seasons, but I saw some random snow in town earlier so I guess it's worth considering.

The treehouses seem less drafty than I'd have thought, and it looks like there's heating? I saw gas stoves and stuff. You don't mind heights? They're not super high but my standards for heights are probably different than yours.

[If anyone else said it he'd take it as a matter of principle, but he knows Nico actually...y'know, visits the underworld and deals with his dad and stepmom and whatnot directly on a regular basis. It's still kinda wild to think about from Jason's perspective. He's still only ever met his own dad once, and "met" is a generous word for it.]

Anyway I found a few places that look cool? I wish I had a map of this place to mark them on or something. Hold on.

[It takes a bit, but he sketches out a little picture of one of the treehouses. It's honestly pretty good. The tree itself is kind of rough, but it's obvious he's been getting a lot of practice with architectural drawing lately.]

[He's definitely hit her up for advice a few times. If one is tasked with an architectural design job by the gods and has access to Olympus' architect, it'd be pretty silly not to take advantage.]

Your opinion matters too. It's not just a place to crash for a few days. Even Percy and Leo have been here for months.

[If it were anyone else saying that, it'd probably be unsettling. Hell, he'd probably have been creeped out just a year ago. Now, though, it just gets a chuckle out of him.]

I was considering location for those kind of situations, I just figured it wasn't the highest priority. I mean, getting places quickly isn't much of an issue for either of us? I can fly and you can shadow travel.

[A pause, and then:]

Can you shadow travel? Have you tried it at all here yet?

not yet. I will soon. I want to know the lay of the land better 1st.
