It's been something that's been bothering him for some time. He knows the answer he had given, but it'd seemed like it was... incorrect, at the time. ]

Subject: Storytime (and a request)
Mistletoe is a curious thing, isn't it? Traditionally people kiss underneath it, but there's more of a story to it. The druids of my world would harvest it for their magic, but there's one particular story that I'd like to highlight.

A long time ago the god Baldur was a god of the sun, joy, peace... all of those positive things. His mother, the goddess Freya, heard a prophecy that he was going to die. She didn't want that, so she made everything in the world swear an oath not to harm him. Everything, that is, except for mistletoe - apparently too young to swear an oath, or something like that.
The gods had a fun time throwing everything at Baldur and watching it bounce off, but Loki, god of mischief, found out about the mistletoe and fashioned a spear out of the stuff. He then gave it to Hod, Baldur's blind brother, and watched as it slew Baldur.
There's more to the story - about the goddess Hel not wanting to let the dead god go unless everything in the world wept for him. But Loki disguised himself as a giantess and would not cry, so Baldur stayed dead. And that culture's gods are barely worshiped anymore in my world, so who's to say?

Now, storytime aside... I seem to have taken ill. It's nothing life-threatening, but I'd have someone look at it all the same. There wouldn't happen to be a doctor or healer among our number willing to make house calls, would there?

Hi, I'm Jason. I'm new and had some questions.
I heard living arrangements here are kind of a free for all. How do people find themselves a place? I get that it's all just up for grabs, but do how do you know which are actually available? Do you just knock on doors or try to open them randomly? I'm kinda worried about just barging in on someone. Has anyone accidentally walked in on someone that forgot to lock up?
And what's the longest anyone's been here? My friend Leo said he knows someone who's been here for more than a year.

Subject: A couple special announcements!
[The message will come across the journals in the morning of the 11th, and before Tifa already begins writing, there will be inky, smudged, and noticeably small paw prints decorating the corners of the page.] Hey Reverein. Tifa here! Eustace and I have another announcement to make. Two this time, actually.
First, some of you might already know this, but I've been wanting to open up my own place here in town. Been something of a goal of mine for a while, and now that the wedding's over, Eustace and I have been working on making it a reality.
Next month, we'll be opening up a bar and café just off the main plaza, and I'll be serving drinks, coffees, and food, but this isn't just going to be any café. Our plan is to turn this into a sanctuary for stray animals around town that might need a home, some food, or someplace to keep warm. Everyone will be free to meet the animals, and who knows... Maybe one of them will catch your love and attention, and they can find a more permanent, stable home.
Or, if you just like animals, feel free to come play and spend some time with them.
Look for a notice in your journals around this time next month! Hoping to have a grand opening when the time comes and see you all there, so be sure to stop by the Starflower Sanctuary and Café when we do![And last but not least...]We have some new additions to the family.( Surprise!!! Warning: Descriptions of death (specifically: falling/burning, stabbing, freezing, drowning) and the crippling fear that comes with that.
( like is any of this for real–or not? )[ Back in the comparative comforts of her home, Susato awakes with a start. She gasps for breath like she's just been held underwater, sitting up and gripping at her blankets. For all she knows, they are her lifeline. She is shaking, the faded memories of dreamscapes past rushing back to her, and she feels her arm knock something off the bed she's on.
......All she can do is breathe. ]

Songerein—
A dream world born from the clash of three different universes. One world produced emotion energy, a byproduct created when one's emotions manifested into a more tangible force. Another produced dream energy, a byproduct of one's dreams that allowed one to view and traverse through them. Both worlds produced so much excess energy they were diverted into an empty universe and happened to collide, producing a new, strange world made up of a new source, dreamotion energy. It remained a barren wasteland until a tear through the dimensions appeared and the concepts of fairy tales poured through. Magic, creatures, environments—they were all dumped in a central location and life began to form. But were they real? Or just figments of what they used to be? Regardless, this giant clash has created a unique world filled with unlimited possibilities.
But of course, a clash of this size would have some side effects. The dream energy in particular remains volatile and continues to seep out with its innate ability to connect to any dream in any world. If there is a strong enough resonance between the dreamer and dream energy, a version of the dreamer, a dream self, is formed and pulled into Songerein while the original body remains in their world safe, unharmed, and unaware of what's going on. Only after accumulating enough dreamotion energy can the dream self "wake up" and leave Songerein to return to its original body, all its experiences felt like a strange, long dream.
Fortunately, Songerein is relatively...peaceful. It's a brand new world after all with only the fairy tale creatures and the dream selves, or dreamwalkers as they are officially called, pulled from other worlds as its denizens. There may be times the different energies become unstable, but it only creates a slight disturbance that eventually settles. Still, the constant connecting and reconnecting through the dream energy means that different things are randomly pulled in and disappear from the world. Those who have decided to make Songerein their home want to build onto it by using the ability to traverse through dreams to their advantage. By creating dreamshifts, they can create giant dreamscapes based on other worlds that large groups of dreamwalkers can enter and bring back concepts to be used in Songerein. Beginning with fairy tales, dreamwalkers could also form dreamshifts based on their own home worlds to bring in something from there. As a bonus, this uses the excess dreamotion energy within the world, helping stabilize it.
So, what kind of world will Songerein become? Just remember…

Songerein is a panfandom game based on the following three former games: Somarium, Empatheias, and Forgotten Tales. At its core it is a worldbuilding game with adventure and character development. Player and character action will be what decides what is brought into Songerein, be it for good or ill. Although it's expected for players to be able to create their own fun and not rely solely on the mods, Songerein is billed to be more of a relaxed game for everyone to have fun in.
