Journal – Potion Brewing

[ On the heels of the Eraser alert comes another announcement over the journals. This one in neat, terse handwriting, quick and to the point. ]

During our recent dreamshift, I investigated the hut alongside others and discovered what seems to be a potion to combat Erasers. I intend to try to recreate it.

I have an idea as to the ingredients, and I’ve brought back samples, but I don’t know the exact process. I will be inquiring at the new apothecary if they can assist me.

If you've found anything which might be of use, please report in.

[ Tagging around is encouraged; Tenn will chime in where he finds things relevant.

With recently discovered enemies in the area, he’s a bit cautious about revealing his identity. But if you'd rather talk with him/bring him something in person, Tenn can be found doing exactly as he said: leaving his house to visit the Witch's Brew apothecary. He's human again, though his voice, hair and eye color are a perfect match to his previous dreamshift form. (... And there are some Spice Noodles eagerly trailing behind him. So much for subtly?) ]

Hi there, both me and my partner had discovered some pieces of paper with some sort of spell or incantation, along with a small bottle of goop and a few broken pieces of candies, in the hut as well.

I had a feeling that someone must have written the whole thing on paper before ripping it into scraps, possibly to hide it from being found. That’s currently my theory at the moment, but I want to know what everyone else has in mind.

We have found the candies and the bottle of goop near a fireplace in the hut while the pieces of paper are found in plenty of places from under the couch to some bookshelves to on the floor, just to name a few.

I am currently guessing that the candies may have been broken up and made into the goop in the bottle in connection to the papers.

Yes, I actually did took them with me before the dreamshift ended.

In fact, I’m in the middle of trying to arrange the pieces like a puzzle so I can see what the words on them are. They may look a little dirty as there are seem to be finger smudges on them, especially on the edges, but the words are still readable.

I haven’t gotten the chance to visit either one just yet, but I have been meaning to go to them to have the candies and goop examined real soon.

That’s a good question. I am thinking that these candies smell of sugar at the moment or that of candied corn when I first got sniffed of the candies during the hut investigations.

Well, I am sorry to hear about it. I am starting to have a feeling that someone must the spell or recipe (which is highly possible at the moment) either before or while the original writer was ripping the paper into pieces and made the candy corn golems to do their bidding.

That could explain why the golems were attacking the dreamshift town last month.

I am also starting to have a bad feeling regarding the clues that I have found too. It is very hard to know who can we trust or is not too suspicious.

It could be possible that maybe (and this is currently a thought for now) the Eraser could have gotten the spell (even in pieces) after the original writer tried to stop them in their tracks and did make those golems to attack everyone in the dreamshift while in disguise.

Now I’m starting to wonder on how would the golems behave depending on who created them in the first place.

Yes, that’s correct. I have encountered several of them in the Sugar Plum Beast story and in Neverland. And yes, they do act similarly to the golems, following the orders from the Story Eater with the purpose to destroy and erase the existence of anyone and anything they attack and consume and not much else.

I thought the same thing as well.

To be fair, some of the several stories in the Realm do combine with other stories by the time they get restored as the Nutcracker merged with Beauty and the Beast. The Sugar Plum Fairy in this version functions as a mother figure to the Beast, trying to help him in breaking the curse.

The Storyteller has always intended to restore the stories to give back life to the Realm, even if some of the stories do blend into each other at times.

Got an Eraser sealed in a jar. Still kicking and pissed off, but contained.
