Whew. Past few weeks were rough. Even as someone who loves a good fight, there were a lot of fights. Lot of emotionally trying stuff, too. Even I'm beat. So, everyone at DMC: IMP's gonna be on leave for a while. Probably a week or so. Long enough to sleep off all of uhh. That.

Since it's been a while since I used this, DMC: IMP's a group of us demons and non-demons who're damn good at fighting monsters and noctaere. Would be a business if money existed, but last time it did, it was a big mistake. Joint effort between Devil May Cry, the Immediate Murder Professionals and anyone who hangs out at the office long enough. You can drop by if you want; it's the building with a bunch of holes, missing doors and tarp over a torn off rooftop.

Oh right, we gotta rebuild it again. Maybe two or three weeks. We'll figure that out.

Most times, it's patrols. You go far enough outside the town's borders, especially the desert, and you'll see plenty of them. Staying in town's usually the safe option. No guarantees, but it's a safe bet.

Something usually happens once a month, but it ain't always monster attacks. You woke up here recently?

yeah I've been sticking with that safe option myself. I've only been asleep for - a couple of months, in this dream? probably a few seconds in the waking world orz

I must prefer parties and festivals, that's how all of this began for me! I'm not equipped to fight, I'm far too squeamish and my arms are like *noodles*, my dear.

so I was hoping your answer would be 'flower festivals and dancing and treats are usually what we have here' ykwim?

We have those sometimes. Kind of a tossup which we get in a month. Good dreams and bad ones, I guess.

Sometimes it's the dragons we helped out a while back, hosting parties or opening up their kick ass hot springs. We had a theme park for last Halloween. Spooky and fun and only a little homicidal. Then there was last month's mess, but we did take on a big monster that wanted to eat planets or something. Not my first time dealing with those.

So it's a mix, but sometimes the dice roll in your favor.

see you're so very confident from all your experiences, my friend - my current planet-eating monster count is at zero and I'd like to keep it that way O.o;;

but yes, I see - like anything else, it's rather a toss-up on what we might come across. chance. reliant on luck.

and if it's luck I need to count on, I'm going to be kind of screwed! my friend has the *worst* luck you can imagine.
