aight i know everyones all down about what happened coupla weeks ago and i dont blame ya
all sorts of shit was going on
but i aint seen no one hyped about what happened either
we just gave the story eater a FREAKING beatdown yo!
i dunno about yall but thats gotta be worth celebrating right?

so i was thinking about how we can do that and i been looking at this big ass wall around the markets
its like a huge canvas cause there aint nothing on it so we can totally do something with that
like write or draw or paint something to remember that we kicked that story eaters ass big time!

yea that sounds like a good idea right?
imma bring the paint sprays brushes and all sorts of stuff so we can do that
yall just gotta get your ass there and show up

[Then there's a quick pause before Beat comes back to messily scrawl something at the bottom of the page.]

friday! we doing this this friday
imma make a huge sign so no one misses it!

Yes. Trying to depict the battle seems like it would be complicated.

for a coupla friends whos gone back home

remember when you and me talked about if we remember stuff from here?
i still think about that sometimes when I think of them

[A few of them have left reminders of their presence: Ori's note of chores remains tacked on his wall, while Beatrix's poem is tucked into a drawer in his bedside. And even if Aerith had gone far earlier, the yellow lilies on his windowsill reminded him of her at times.]

even if they dont remember i dont want us forgetting about them too

Gone, but not forgotten. I'd like to think they would appreciate that.

[He can think of several others he would include in something like that, actually -- Aerith being among their numbers.]

[He's sure everyone had someone they could think of as well. A part of him hopes that it will end up similar to the mural in Udagawa back home. Where people can add more to it or build off what already exists. A place where people can bond and come together.]

[Memorials never do indeed. Even back home, Hachiko stands tall and proud by the crossing. And even that memorial has served as a special place for him and his friends back home.

Maybe the wall might be able to do the same for his friends here.]
