[The Story Eater has been vanquished and most of the elements it summoned have disappeared. But caches of Malice that appeared during the event have stubbornly remained around Reverein. Link isn't much of a journal post person, but he decides to say something anyway.

When the Story Eater summoned nightmares, it summoned a shade of Calamity Ganon.

I don't know why it didn't disappear afterwards.

It should be possible to block it off. It doesn't move around much.

if it comes from him it, does it possess any of its consciousness? would it have any awareness of this realm as long as that substance remains here?

I don't think so. Given long enough, the Malice can develop eyes that see...but I think they act independently. I don't believe it's aware of anything the Malice does.
