They are part of his family, if I recall. He certainly cares for them.

Or maybe he's just happy to see creatures that have the same ears as him.

You know, I never quite thought of it like that before!

There are a lot of people who look like Eustace where we come from, but I believe he has a very soft spot for dogs!

Oh! Is that so? Eustace has quite an usual appearance, at least for me. Sadly, there's no one that really walks around with big, fluffy, dog ears where I'm from.

Dogs are often well-liked by people, so I don't believe that part to be too unusual. But maybe, he still shares a certain kinship with them.

Wait, so Erunes don't exist in the world that you come from!? That's so strange...!

[ And possibly a little sad? To know that an entire race might not even exist in another world... but then Eustace- ]

Kinship? I suppose you could say he acts a lot like the corgis when he is around them... but I don't believe he gets as excitable as them!
