Subject: Expedition and potential sparring partners

Hey guys! That was a crazy feast. All that was missing was some good alcohol, but those tapirs really know how to throw a party.

Anyway, I was thinking and we don't really know much about this place or what's outside the town. Since we'll need to start heading into the forests for hunting and gathering other resources, was thinking of heading out to check it out. Plus aren't these fae things our neighbors now? Or I guess we're their new neighbors...? Can't hurt to see what's there.

There are also those redcaps we need to deal with if we want any iron. I'm not sure about anyone else, but as a swordsman I definitely have a vested interest in that.

...And maybe I want to see how tough they are, haha.




Yeah, okay, I just want to see what kind of tough monsters are out there, heh. Not that I want to make enemies out of allies, but never hurts to know what kind of threats there are, right? Who knows, we might be helping them out, too.

[No, he just wants to find the biggest and strongest thing there is and fight it.]

Speaking of, if anyone needs a sparring partner, I'm your daemon. I'm curious to see how my skills stack up against those from different worlds.

I wouldn't mind surveying the area and seeing what else is out there. It would be a good idea to better understand this world we're in.

[ And, from the looks of it, maybe keep some of the others from jumping head first into fighting, if it could be helped. ]

I also wouldn't mind a sparring partner, though I am not sure how my skills would stack up against a daemon.

Then welcome to the group! Hard tell but I'm assuming it's pretty big out there. The more numbers we have, the more we can spread out and cover more ground.

And hey, I've fought against tough humans. Whatever you have, you can throw whatever at me.

I can only imagine that, as a dreamworld, it might expand and evolve quite a bit. So it would help getting a better look at what we can.

And honestly, it might be interesting to see how my skills stack up against yours as well.

We don't even have to wait until the expedition to test our skills. Whenever you're free, I'm game.

Well, I wouldn't say no to some practice right now, if you're available. I wouldn't wish for my skills to get rusty.

I've started clearing out one of the fields just outside of the treehouses to serve as a training field. Was actually practicing when I came up with this idea, so you can just come over.

[When T'challa arrives, Rokurou will just be sitting on the ground with his swords next to him, the journal in his lap as he occasionally has to field questions or responding to other conversations. But when he senses the man, he looks up and grins.]

Hey! You must be...

Okay, sorry to say this, but I never could figure out how to pronounce your name.

[ He chuckles a little as he approaches. ] It's quite all right. I suppose it can be difficult to determine over text.

It's "T'Challa".

[rokubro]

Chualla?

[He's trying he really is.]

[galactichero]

"T'Challa." There's a bit of separation between the T and Challa.

[rokubro]

Ah, all right.

[Clears his throat as he kind of mouths it out a few times before he tries again.]

"T'Challa"?

[galactichero]

[ With a smile, he nods. ] You've got it.

[rokubro]

All right!

[He's actually pretty excited he got it. Listen, if he wants to have a proper fight and recognize his opponent, he wants to give him the honor and pronounce his name right!]

Heh, sorry, but that was going to bug me if I couldn't call you properly.

[galactichero]

[ He shrugs. ] It's all right. Honestly, not everyone cares enough to try and pronounce it properly.

[rokubro]

Seriously? ...Guess I can see why, but it's kind of cool.

[galactichero]

[ He nods his head with a smile. ] I appreciate that.

So, how should we get started?

[ Some people he knows like to talk, and introduce themselves if they were training together for the first time. Others just like to jump straight into it. ]

[rokubro]

[They've done enough talking for now.]

Sounds good to me. Just throw whatever you got at me—having it a surprise just gives it an extra challenge.

[galactichero]

[ He nods. ] All right. You're ready?

[rokubro]

Your move.

[galactichero]

[ With another nod, he then suddenly charges at Rokurou, getting close enough before twisting to the side to try and throw a punch. ]

[rokubro]

[Aah, a fist fighter, eh? It almost seems unfair to use his swords right away, so for now he just raises his arm with his armguard to block and pushing back before he jumps back to create some distance.]

[galactichero]

[ He catches himself quickly, following after Rokurou with a swipe or a kick, trying to land a hit. ]

[rokubro]

[Rokurou continues to either block and evade before he finally draws his sword for a counter slash.]

[galactichero]

[ He doesn't have time to dodge, but he manages to grab one of the Quad Blasters from his holster to use it as a guard. He hasn't quite figured out how to fire the weapon with this world's power yet, but for now it would do to help block an attack from another weapon. ]
