Continuing the theme of simple questions, my dear friends! But this one is for *research*. You'll see.

What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

And if ice cream isn't your thing - what is your favorite soda flavor? ^_^

Apple. I haven't had ice cream since Valinor, but the one made with apples from Yavanna's garden was truly something.

A little cinamon and a pinch of cloves is how we had it. It was the treat I most looked forward to whenever I visited grandfathers court, no one could make it quite like Indis could.

Sweet, with just a hint of tartness to them. Quite unlike any apples grown under the sun, the light of the Two Tree's gave them... a quality all their own. Nothing else quite compares.

It was not so far of from that in taste, honestly.

You think so? I... I would be lying if I said I would not wish to. To have some small reminder of better days long gone by. It would be a wonderful thing indeed. Those apples hold many fond memories for me, though they seem such a small thing.

It would certainly be a practical ability to master! I wouldn't mind looking into it myself.

A few saplings to tend to would be nice, even though the quality of the light to nurish them are not the same.

I don't think it's impossible, though they might not end up tasting exactly the same. But still, to have one of those tree's here...

It would give me something to do... I've never done well being idle.

I'm not much of a botanist either, but I do know a thing or two. But what I mean is that... the sun is a relatively new thing in my world. Before Laurelin and Telperion was what gave us light, the Two Tree's of Yavanna. Their light was... much greater, if not as wide reaching.

It is something my entire family strugles with. A bored Fëanorean is one that soon wanders into trouble... or creates his own, depending on which one of us it is.

You wouldn't be, I'm the only one here from my world and I'm a fairly recent addition here. Yes, more intense and... purer, perhaps would be the right word. It is hard to explain to someone who has not seen that light for themselves.

I'm unfortunately not the most scholarly of my brothers, or at least not when it comes to subjects such as these, but my father studied that light rather intensly for most of his life. So you might say I picked up a thing or two simply from hearing him grumble about it during dinner.

We do love puzzles, well, exept perhaps Tyelko.

No, likely not. There really isn't anything I have seen in my world or this one that would work as a parallel, and it's effects on the body and soul is also a facet to consider about it.

It has made me a bit of a jack-of-all-trade's in a way. My entire family are experts in their respective fields so I've had to pick up knowledge of all of them simply to be able to encourage their interests when they were growing up. Though I still find myself a bit lost when the conversation moves to more intricate knowledge. But, I think they themselves feel the same when I speak of the finer points of diplomacy... their eyes do tend to glaze over a bit when I do.

I'd imagine it to be very hard indeed, impossible even. Not even the one that created the Tree's could replicate it afterwards, it was a once in a lifetime achievment.

The oldest of seven brothers, and a horde of cousins besides, I'm told it shows rather obviously. Most of my people are the only child of their parents, my grandfathers line... showed more prolific than most of our kin. Truer words have never been spoken, and my brothers are too quarrelsome to be even remotely interested in the topic. More interested in starting fights than to resolve them without someones nose being broken.

A sensible reaction, and one I wish was more to my brothers taste. You have no idea how many times I've had too make apologies for them when they'd ruffled the wrongpersons feathers.

It is, especially when you need more allies than enemies.

Exactly! So no one should start needles fights, right?

I never claimed they were sane now, did I? Though mostly it was a matter of overinflated pride and a careless attitude... they never truly thought things through before acting most of them.

It is a well known fact in my world that my entire family, me included, is more than a bit crazy.

Too much fire in our souls, I'm afraid, for it not to affect our tempers. It's completely my fathers fault, just so you know, my mother was an infinitely sensible and reasonable person. She wasn't called Nerdanel the wise for nothing.

Parhaps? Though my mother is... a rather exeptional individual. Her wisdom is far renowned for many reasons. It was her wish to understand people, truly understand them, and she was perceptive enough to see most people more truly than even they themselves could. It would be hard to reach her level of wisdom, but I think it is something we should all strive for even if we may end up falling short in comparisson at the end.

I do, I wish I took after her more than I do my father. There's no cause for you to apologize, friend, I took no offense at your words.
