Oh yes it does make a lot of sense now. Typical cousin antics, I can get it.

I sometimes make flower petals to shut the mouth of one of my cousins so he can stop teasing me relentlessly. You have no idea what kind of pranks and antics Camilo can pull off with his shapeshifting ability.

I'm guessing Camilo is part of your family, then? Does all of your family have powers?

Oh yes he is. He is one of the sons of my maternal aunt: he does have an older sister and a younger brother. Well, almost everyone in the family does have powers. Abuela and my younger sister don’t have any known powers but they sure know how to keep everyone together.

My power for one is based on plants so I can grow nearly any kind of plant life. Camilo’s siblings can hear things from long distances and talk to animals respectively while his and their mom can control the weather through her emotions. An uncle meanwhile can see into the future with sand. Another of my sisters is one of the strongest people I ever know and our Mamá can heal people with food.

Your family is pretty diverse, huh. It must be nice having so many people in your family, though. It's just me, my mom, my dad, and my cousin on my end. None of us have any powers, though.

Oh why thanks. Families tend to be big in Colombia and we Colombians sure have a big love for families in general.

Family is a pretty important thing in Japan too, so I don't think we're so different there. I used to have an aunt and uncle, but they passed away when I was still too young to really remember them.

Naoya ended up living with us because of it, so we grew up pretty close. Or as close as you can be to an emotionally stunted shut-in.

Ah I see. All of my family have lived in the same house for 3 full generations. None of us had moved away from the house for the longest time.

It did started out with just my Abuela and my Mamá, aunt, and uncle after Abuelo passed away and then Mamá married Papa and Tia Pepa married Tío Felix. And they soon had kids in me, my sisters and my cousins, so the house grew more in size to accommodate us.

I think I might go crazy if I had that much family living in one house.

[How do you even get privacy at that point?? Or a reasonable amount of time in the shower...]

Oh wow how I wish that there are times when I can get to have a moment for myself and not get stressed from everyone’s antics. Especially when one’s cousin can hear everything and have a tendency to gossip like Dolores.

It does get a bit hectic at times, I will admit.

Yeah, I can see how that'd be a pain. I guess I'm luck in that Naoya's not really a gossip. Not that he has anyone to gossip to, since I already stole his only friend.

Yep, having a large family does have its pros and cons. That I won’t argue about.

Well, since that friend is not here right now, I guess that he doesn’t have anyone else to gossip with at this time.

Yeah I understand. I’m not that close enough to be called his friend right now. And yet-

(Please excuse her while she laughs upon reading the last sentence. Sorry about it, she is so trying not to stifle the laugh, she will be okay in a little bit. And she hasn’t mentioned about having met him in the date auction boat ride just yet.)
