Good evening everyone.

I haven't written in my journal for quite sometime. However tonight I'm feeling rather semimetal. It accord to me that this month marks my one year anniversary since being spirited away to this place. I can hardly believe I've been away for so long. I remember when I first arrived how badly I wanted to return. But now I... find myself wanting to stay. During my time here I have met so many wonderful new people, new friends', made beautiful memories that I fear I will lose when I eventually am forced to return.

I did return. Briefly.

Such an odd feeling. Waking up here as if my true home was the dreamworld. I am grateful that my memories of this place did not fade during my little vacation back to Hell. Which brings me to my query. Has anyone else experienced this? I am curious on how memories are stored while we're here. Perhaps there might be a way to retrain them once we leave.

Or, that is the hope at least.

It's been a bit over a year for me, too. It's a surreal feeling...

I've been in Reverein for fifteen months, and so much has changed. I'm hoping there's a way, as well. The fact that you retained your memories on return is, at least, heartening.

I share your sentiment. Even with all Reverein’s oddities, I would have to agree that it is far better than 'home'.

However I know we are just guests living on borrowed time.

There is at least that. If only I knew how it keeps its thw memories of the Dreamwalkers, then perhaps I can figure how we can retain them after we leave.

I'm inclined to think there's something to do with the Story Tree. There's a phrase originally coined by Heinlein. Pantheistic Solipsism. Conceptually, all stories, it suggests, are in some time or place removed from our own, true. The fact that I've met mythological demons like yourself, gods thought largely to be myth such as Loki, and many more fantastic entities straight out of science fiction and fantasy- the notion that it might actually be a valid explanation for the structure of the multiverse has a lot of credence to it.

Therefore, if there is a repository of stories readily at hand...

[Though Blitzø had slept through the initial posting of the journal, the sound of scratching on paper and the demon's sighs - subtle sad little exhales, he's thinking too hard - eventually lulled the imp back into awakeness. And thankfully it wasn't after a WAY too long sleep.

A true statement. Hell time runs definitely than that of the living world. Whole empires could rise and fall over afternoon tea.

I take it that you as well prefer to stay?

You could be on to something. I have also met other worldly gods and demons during my time here. If the Story Tree is indeed the root of all memories, then thw question is one, what makes this place special to have access to it? And two, if we can duplicate what harnesses the memories in other realms.

Do you now? Have your friends told you of their time while they were awake? I'm very curious to see if we share similar experiences.

'Big Fat Nothing'? I would beg to differ since the 'Nothing' is my home. At least in my world.

That is something that I gave been wondering myself since my first day. Why were we 'picked' to come here. There must be an underlying reason.

Oh dear... I will have to take your word for it. I can only speak on my personal experiences. Though with my own brush with mortality... If I died that would be the end of my story.

That is, unless there is a secret level of Hell below mine that I don't know about.

[Lost in his own thoughts, Stolas wasn't aware of the little noises he was making. It wasn't until he felt movement beside him that broke him from his trance. The pleasant heat of the still drowsy imp warmed the owl's belly as he snuggled into his plums. A soft smile stretched across he beak as he stared down at Blitzø's face poking under his journal like a cat begging for attention. What a way to start the day.

Looks like there would be no more writing this morning and he sets his journal an quill on the nightstand. Wordlessly, Stolas reached down to give the imp's head gentle strokes again lost in his thoughts. This was something he couldn't lose. The time here spent with Blitzø, the issues they worked through, the love they shared... Well, at least he safely assumes, since he's the only one what has strung together those three little words.]

Now wouldn't that be comical? I would prefer if there was nothing if I had to be reborn to do it all over again.

Oh? You mean my brush with death? When I woke up back in my world there was an assassination attempt on my life arranged by my B.I.T.C.H. of a wife. Very few things can actually harm me, but somehow the little cowboy imp she hired got his hands on such relics.

They were behind time-wise from the beginning so they just caught up with the rest of us.
I don't think they mentioned remembering anything while awake, though.
