Nope, it runs on wheels along the ground at ridiculously fast speeds. They put horses to shame.

What propels it? Some sort of magic, or technology? Or a combination of both?

It might seem like magic to some, but it's actually a chemical reaction from combustion using gasoline. Though they're starting to come out with electric cars, too.

Magic would make more sense than those words.

'Combustion' I understand, at least, though I'd never considered its use for propelling vehicles. It seems like a rather dangerous method to use.

Can't argue with you there. Magic tends to have a more obvious basis in reality.

You're the first person I've met to say that. Most people from other worlds seem to be under the belief that technology is more straightforward and logical than magic.

[To be fair, that might be the case in their worlds. In his... ehhhhhh.]

I've lived with magic a lot longer than modern technology's been around, so I guess it's not too surprising on that front. It also helps that some of my abilities are magic-based, meaning it just comes naturally to me.

[Though for humans, who can blame them for having a better grasp on something they invented?]

Mirristry - what you would call magic - has also existed in my world for far longer than technology. What technology we have exists as a direct result of mirristry, so it's impossible to separate the two concepts.

I gather my world is something of an outlier on that front.
