Esteemed fellow Dreamwalkers,

I extend my heartfelt greetings to all in a moment of personal and restive rumination.

Within the intricate tapestry of our shared experience in this world bolstered by dreams, I find myself weaving a humble thread, seeking solace in the wisdom that resides in the bonds of our community. At this juncture, I pen my thoughts along the parchment of shared understanding, for in unity lies the strength to weather any tempests looming on the horizon, yet to beset us.

As the echoes of battle ring in my memory, it is clear that I cannot delay training, despite my insipidness. To clarify, my aversion stems not from the intention to undermine the value of such a skillset, but from the need to face my diffidence so that I may improve.

I respectfully ask those who are proficient in the physicalities of battle if you would be willing to share insights and advice on the intricacies thereof. In return, I will offer what I can, within reason. I’ve little in tangible possessions, but I am not adverse to providing reciprocal services. For your consideration, I’m adept with the casting of fire magicks, I can perform manual labor, and I can also assist with research. If none of these credentials suffice, I am willing to negotiate other fair compensation for your time and efforts.

Pray accept my deepest gratitude to all who have read my entreaty. As we act as conduits of dreams and magicks, let us fortify our knowledge together.

They're pretty sturdy, so I wouldn't worry too much about them getting hurt. And if they do happen to get hurt, they'll end up retreating to the COMP anyway.

[ He's kind of surprised that Joshua cares about hurting his demons. For him, they're usually just a means to an end. He's not even sure how much he'd worry even if it was Black Frost, and he likes that demon slightly more than most. ]

When and were do you suggest we meet?

Probably somewhere where destruction is less likely to happen? On the outskirts of town would work, I think.

And I dunno. Whenever you're free and feeling up to it? I'm pretty much free whenever myself.

I have practiced dreamotion there before with great success in avoiding harm. The edge of the surrounding forests should provide the necessary space.

Would next week suffice?

[ It's weird not having to wake up to go to school and then goof off after it with his friends... ]

[There's a pause. The kind of awkward pause where it's clear that Joshua is trying to figure out what to say, and may very well be agonizing over the correct way to say it.]

Sure. I don't mind.

[Kazuya is surprised at the question, but it definitely fills the aimless void he's found himself in lately.]

Yeah! Well, maybe not local, but it definitely means spending time with a friend.

.... It's too bad there's no arcades here. At least that I know of.

It was a spontaneous request, so I am open to suggestions as to where, but I would like to take a walk, yes.

And if I may ask, what is an arcade?

Why don't I come to your place and we can just wander around from there?

And an arcade is like. A place where there's a bunch of video games of all types to play. Lots of students spend their time there after school before heading home.

If possible, I would like to hear more about arcades during our walk. It sounds as though there is much to learn.

It's not out of the way at all, don't worry. I wouldn't have offered it if it was.

And I can tell you about them, but I don't know how much good it'd do if you can't experience it for yourself.

Even if I cannot experience it on my own, just hearing about others' worlds is a reward in itself.

Maybe one day someone can dream one up here, or however it works. I'm still not really sure, honestly.

Neither am I, although others surely must know.

[Meeting outside it is!!! And as promised, Kazuya is there within that ten-to-fifteen minute mark he gave, and he'll raise his hand in greeting for Joshua once he does, stopping a socially polite distance away!]

[Standing at the base of his treehouse, Joshua returns the gesture with a smile and makes his way over to Kazuya. He’s bundled up more than usual, sporting a long coat to protect against some of the chilly air. It’s almost as if he’s been waiting for a reason to use it.]

[As for Kazuya's outfit.... It's the same as it always is. Just his black shirt and hot pink pants. It's almost like he wears it no matter the weather, even in a heat wave in the middle of Tokyo....

But he seems warm enough (It's that fire demon energy, baby) despite the chill in the air.]

No problem. Like I said, I really don't have anything better to be doing. Although I guess I could hit up the quest boards if I'm really bored...
