Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you for tuning in to 666 AM with me, your host and local Radio Demon, Alastor!

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Alastor! It isn't Saturday yet! You're spoiling us!"

Indeed I am, dear listeners, for I was approached by a very lovely lady who wanted to help get us all in the winter holiday spirit regardless of what specific winter holiday you in particular celebrate! I was so touched by her offer and enthusiasm that I saw no reason to deny her!

With all that out of the lady, do sit back and enjoy the performance of a lady who requires no introduction as she serenades us all!

[The music starts with thirteen tinkling bells. Then a very familiar woman begins singing, and anybody who has been around Reverein long enough realizes just who Alastor is allowing to perform on his station:]

I shall pass along your compliments! She so does love being heard. A shame so many others don't seem to want to listen!

Whyever not? She has such a lovely voice.

Honestly, I'm not entirely certain. Most folks around here seem to greet her appearance with dread when the lady only wishes to sing her song.

How strange... but perhaps they are not as used to Song as my own people are. She has Power in her voice but so does my own people, so I suppose I wouldn't find it as disconcerting as others would.

It is a very nice song, however, so I am happy I had the opportunity to hear her sing it.

Perhaps! Though that still doesn't entirely explain it. I've listened to her song dozens of times over the past two years with no ill effects. It's nothing particularly dangerous.

Well... neither you nor I are human, are we? Many of those here are, so perhaps it is one of those things that humans are more sensitive to?

Perhaps but I was once human myself. One would think I'd have some lasting sensitivity to it.

Ah well. Perhaps a bit of "exposure therapy" will help.

Once, perhaps, you would have been just as affected as them. I don't know, I've never been human so I don't know which parts it is of them that are sensitive to such things.

Maybe? They grew used to our Singing after a while...

Then this is an excellent way to help them get used to it all! After all, we're surrounded by magic here!

As long as no one get's hurt, I suppose...

If it comes to my attention that her song harmed others, I won't let her perform on my frequency again. However, I see no reason she couldn't be allowed to periodically do so. I won't play it on loop like other songs I was forced to suffer through in the past that people wouldn't stop requesting on the radio.

["The Macarena" led to a particularly bloody time in his history.]

I must say I am of a like mind on that. If her songs hurt no one I don't really see the harm in it and it will make her happy to be allowed to sing from time to time. It is always good to have some variety in the music that is performed.

Precisely! Unfortunately, most people don't see it that way. Can't imagine why when they already listen to trash on the regular.

Trash?

[Why would anyone listen to music that is not pleasant to hear?]

Yes. Trash. Bass-heavy, screeching tunes that grate on the ears.

[holdshisown]

That does sound unpleasant. Very unlike my own peoples music as well. We favor harps and flutes, and don't much like any screeching sounds.
