A question, if I may... Does anyone look out to a formal settlement and find it altogether too dazzling at times? Or, mayhap even too much to trust that it is on offer with nearly no strings attached?

I do not wish to bore you overmuch, but it was customary where I am from for no male to live within the walls of the community. "Home" was your post, or the land itself. Never the village.

Pray forgive my ignorance and forwardness yet again, but ... summoned ... wrong? What ever do you mean? What is summoning if not being born of someone, or something's, earnest wish?

to be honest i dont know how the empire summoned me

but when i was summmoned as the yorae dragon i was split into two people

one showed up when they called

Summoned as a dragon..? A shapeshifter, mayhap? I do not mean to speculate about you. I wish only that I had answers for you.

As I understand it, then, given that the memory that you have simply comes into being abruptly at the time of summoning... You do not possess what most consider a "childhood" and the experiences that come with.

And you too are long-lived, as a person. Or dragon. [ unsure! no disrespect, (most) dragons are good people. ]

Oh... I suppose you wouldn't. When summoners summon their egi, mere shards of a greater being, the egi hardly concerns itself with naught but battle. At least, as I understand it...

Yet I can only imagine the explanation of average modesty to have been an interesting one, for one who has no sense of it and another who must have been quite shocked... I pray she was kind about it!

and she was!! she found some clothes in the merchants carriage that was in the crater i appeared in i think the merchant ran off

Mayhap "shard" is not correct even for the summoners' egis. "Essence made tangible, but not truly so?" It was not a discipline I pursued far.

That is besides your point. This merchant? I know not of him, but I know much of narrowly escaping dangers.

I have a feeling that donating a set of clothes is a small price to pay if indeed he was able to survive the falling into crater itself. Your friend may even have said the same.

Mayhap you would not be surprised by some of the rather rude commentary others have made about quirks of anatomy for people I have known who bear feline ears. As if we are not all bearers of our own quirks...

I have no answer for you other than old grudges, mayhap. "Theft and poaching issues" were oft tied to the feline-eared Miqo'te locally. There was that, and there was lack of understanding, and likening anatomical differences to things they knew better. I was told once that mine were just as "the cute bunny crowns all the girls wear when we go out to drink and gamble."

deis is an endless like me her summoning was also messed up and she was ssealed inside a suit of armor and the armor is named ershin which means master in some old language but deis said it would be confusing if we called her two different things

Worry not about voidsent or magitek, then. Unless the former appears, then worry is warranted, but for the moment-

Should this Deis, or Ershin, be in a position to hear it ... indeed, it is difficult to be known by several things. What confounds me now, though, is -- how did a suit of armor have a sense of self to begin with?

i guess the magic of an endless rubbed off on it after being around for so long

i dont actually know how long deis has been in my world so it could have been a long while
