A question, if I may... Does anyone look out to a formal settlement and find it altogether too dazzling at times? Or, mayhap even too much to trust that it is on offer with nearly no strings attached?
[ hm, likely not a great opener. Yuki tries again, maybe something lighter will work better. ]
Pray forgive the overly serious tone, I was once told to, as she put it, "LIGHTEN UP AND STAY IN THE HOUSE, STOP SNEAKING OUT AND SLEEPING IN THE GARDEN" before coming here.
It is something of a ...
work in progress?

[ this might mean more if he was not so often and easily lost, but nobody needs to know that just yet. ]
I am unsure that I will ever understand the apparent luxury of some settlements. Or shelters. A forest floor or a warehouse suits fine.

Though I must admit, I've grown used to the comforts found in the large city-states I've come across during my travels.

Mayhap I need to give it yet more time to see more of such places? Was it a difficult acclimation for you?
[ as in, hey, let's talk about that and not getting lost all the time, and maybe hope to someday enjoy the finer things in these jungles of stonework. ]

[ Yeah, he's completely ignoring the other question for now ]

This is not the term I know it as..? I confess my learning of Western lands may be more shallow than I'd like... My upbringing did not encourage knowledge of aught beyond the forest.
Rest assured I am ever working on it.
[ read: please don't think I'm an idiot, says the viera to someone who actually would not judge anyone for not being the most brilliant scholar in the land. ]

[ It brings a small smile to his face ][
Tell me, then, what lands are you familiar with? ...And what is your name?
[ Mayhap it's somebody he's met, or somebody who may know him much like Madhuri did ]
I sure did fall on my face...
[ he may have gotten strange looks when he knew little of the Calamity years ago, but even he had since heard of the famed Warrior. ]
I am ... nay. I should instead say, I was of a region bordering Othard, the Skatay Range. I will spare you tales of vile imperial activity prior to Doma's liberation, and instead share that I have grown familiar with Eorzea in recent years. To speak plain, I am someone with naught but much to learn and debt to pay for my life and any new homelands. Yuki Tayuun.
