On May 5th of this year, it was my brother's 19th birthday. Or at least that's what I think it should be, if he were here.

I was lucky to encounter someone from his crew here, where I got to hear about his adventures in our world. But this person left and I couldn't hear all I wanted to know.

Lately I've been thinking about home again. I hadn't done so in a while because I actually really like this place! but I wonder how everyone back home is doing, you know?

What I'm saying is that I don't know what to do? Should I tell everyone how amazing my brother is? Should I talk more about my friends and crew back home? Or should I just keep trying to live in the moment?

I'm conflicted beyond belief.

Oh yes. Now that would make for a very lively conversation, Ace. I’m very certain that she wouldn’t mind giving out several amazing stories she has encountered over the years.

older people have the coolest or wildest stories! my Pops had the most amazing adventures!

Wow, that is pretty amazing that he has such wondrous stories to tell. What kinds of tales does he have through the years?

he's been around so long he was friends with the king of the pirates, but he also fought so many other pirates and marines!

[grandduchess_anya]

Oh, an experienced fighter of the sea? Nice, that is a big reputation for someone with a long history and experience as he.

Yeah! He's the coolest pirate around really.

[grandduchess_anya]

That is really amazing. I could imagine seeing him taking on various pirates and sailors, sailing across the seas and seeking out adventure wherever he goes. That must have been a very fascinating life to be a pirate.

He absolutely did all that! Who knows what he's done that he doesn't talk about.

Being a pirate is freeing, it lets you be whatever and whoever you want to be!

Wow, that does sound a lot more exciting than being stuffed in a fancy dress and mingling with very boring people in big parties.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t really mind serving the community and helping the people my family used to look after but there are some things of being royal that can be very iffy.

Oh for sure, being stuck like that sounds dreadful!

like what? Besides being stuck in stuffy dresses?

Dealing with the possibility of being a target by some unsavory folks. I had to deal with one vengeful man who wanted my family to be gone for good for years and he had this magical relic that he can use to summon creepy bat minions.

Not a great experience at all.

Oh that does sound horrible! But no one wanted ME around and yet, here I am! We're stronger than some creepy person with minions!

Yeah. Not exactly a great experience being the target of someone's deepest ire. Oh yes: we’re way stronger than that creepy angry man and his minions indeed.

<exactly! We're so strong! Don't ever forget that!

Yeah, that is so true. Can’t let someone like him to ruin my life or even those of other people for forever. He wasn’t that pleasant of a human to begin with.

If he ever does show up in here for reason, I’ll give him a piece of my own mind to make sure that he doesn’t harm anybody ever again.

Yep, that worst kind of any living being to ever walk in the universe. They are like pesky flies that never want to leave.
