okay so im really exited about this

but in a week itll be my first birthday!!!

i think... because time is weird...... but i know it was the first day of the sixth month when nina found me in the desert so since its going to be the first day of the sixth month here in a week im going to call that my birthday

so im going to hold a fishing tournament and whoever gets the biggest fish wins a prize and the runners up get special lures

and afterwards were going to fry all the fish and have a big dinner for everyone so even if you dont want to fish youre invitied to come have food you dont even have to know me i still want to meet you

also if you dont know how to fish im going to have spare fishing rods and i can teach you!! its easy! as long as you can be careful and not hook yourself you can fish

ill see you all there!!! were going to meet on the north side of the river near the theater house for prizes but you can fish anywhere as long as its a fish you caught that day

[Truly, Nuadha isn't much better in the sense that he's really mostly familiar with Bifrost-style side dishes, but at least it's something.]

and i dont drink much alcohol that much anyway i know scias does and he fights fine but um it makes him really stinky

yes its really fun!! i know most people are babies when theyre one but im not so im trying to take advantage of all the birthdays i can get

yeah its a strange situation at home

so im taking my time here and im doing what i can when i can and trying to enjoy it!! its a lot calmer here and i like it :)

of course!! there was a saying that master gyosil taught me it was something like

give a man a fish and he can trade it for a meal

give a man a fishing rod and he can trade it for a thousand meals

meaning you can either give someone a gift or you can teach someone a skill and the latter will help someone more long term

plus its just fun and calming

Is it? I cannot say I have had occasion to fish in such a way. But learning a skill like that seems beneficial. Especially so if it can aid in maintaining one's calm...

though actually im not competing i dont think thats fair since i set up the thing itd be like i got myself a trophy and that would just feel kind of weird??
