Depends on how much you like the person I guess. You ain't gotta do much if you're both just foolin' around, but if they're someone special you gotta step up your game.

I don't take these matters lightly, which is why I'm asking others for advice to begin with.

Consider this relationship serious. Unless something happens that's beyond our control, I have no intention of parting with them.

[It's one thing to ask about helping with the dogs and other external matters, but...something personal...and even admitting this much so far... He's really branching out of his comfort zone.]

But if you're that serious with 'em then obviously what you should be doin' is thinkin' about them. What kinda things would they like. Do they like dinners? Do they like amusement parks? What's somethin' we can do together to get even' closer. Think of ways you can hold their hand without even askin'. It ain't gotta be crazy things. Even the simplest things can be fun to do with someone ya like.

I see. This makes more sense. We're a bit limited on places we can go to in this world, but that's something I'll just have to figure out I suppose.

I mean there's always gonna be people who think differently. Some people are more materialistic than others. But it sounds like the person your with ain't like that. Trust me, you'd know if they were.

So just focus on doin' things together that you think'll make you both happy.

What you say does make sense, and it aligns more with my philosophies as well.

That leaves a different question. What can be done in this world? Given that it's a still developing town, there aren't a lot of places that seem suitable, even for a stereotypical date.

[It's not like they have to, but having options does help at least. Even if he was feeling fancy to take her out for a nice dinner the options are a little...]
