I was writing up menu ideas for next month and a thought occurred:

Should I list hot dogs under 'sandwiches', and a bowl of cereal under 'soup'?

They are like hot soups though from the fact that if you set out ingredients without broth you'd call it a salad. Or at least really oniony potatoes.

People call it a bowl of cereal with or without milk.

I mean, I've still heard "cereal". Usually in something like "great, I already poured the cereal but I'm out of milk." The adjectives are going to vary person to person depending on how crazy they are.

I haven't really spent much time around other people for a while now. When I actually am around them, asking what they thought about food isn't very high on the list of things to talk about.
