Food for thought.

I was writing up menu ideas for next month and a thought occurred:
Should I list hot dogs under 'sandwiches', and a bowl of cereal under 'soup'?

Besides, then it becomes granola.

I, for one, would like to know on what star a cereal could possibly fall under the same category as a soup.
They are two entirely different types of dish with two entirely different purposes.

[Only he doesn't have to "politely" request that the debaters leave his workplace and take it to the Hall of Rhetoric.]
But if I may lend mine own opinion, depending on the amount of milk added to the bowl of cereal, could it not conceivably be treated as a sauce, rather than a broth?
[Does he believe that? Absolutely not. Is he putting it out there anyway? Absolutely.]
no subject
But yes! YES! A small amount would be a sauce, wouldn't it? Porridge can very well be a wholesome breakfast sauce.

Sandwich: A group of ingredients encased in a starch to be a tasty handheld meal.

What's your arguments for those categories?

Soups are bundles of ingredients served hot or cold in a bowl with a liquid base, while sandwiches are edibles in a vehicle of some sort of bread.

Not sure why they call it a 'hot dog', as it's made with pork or beef. Maybe they say HOT DOG when they get one because they're exciting?

... how is cereal soup in this world or any other?
[Please tell him it is not considered soup in other worlds.]
no subject
Cereal can also be cold or not, cooked or not cooked, with a water base or a dairy base.
Is that not right?

Just don't use the sausage water for the cereal's milk. It's kinda bad tasting.
