Subject: Sealing and Teleportation Magic

I have two inquiries to those who are familiar with magic.

RE: SEALING MAGIC
I'd like to know if anyone knows a way to cast some kind of sealing or restraining magic on an accessory or item that could be used to suppress one's own magic or curse. If need a more specific situation, an emergency case where one's powers are running out of control and needs to be contained. The ideal goal would be that it could affect nightmare energy, but that might be more difficult without further knowledge.

[He is definitely asking for specific reasons, but good thing there have been several occasions where things went wildly out of control last month that it won't seem too random.]

RE: TELEPORTATION MAGIC
Similarly, I wish to create some kind of portal that would allow me to easily traverse between my home and other locations that I currently own with potential to add on in the future. [Because it's about time he just accepts he owns these dogs and getting to the Corgi Tree and the Flowers home more instantaneously would be ideal. Though already future proofing? What could he be considering...] Ideally it would be a door with a function to change the location.

This might be a complicated request, if it's even possible, but even just information on how it might work will be appreciated.

[He'll get his portal door one way or another—]

Sure. Where should I meet you?

How about the plaza? I'd like to think I still know my way around this place even though it feels like it's been a while...

I understand that feeling. I'll meet you there.

[ The last few days have been disorienting, to say the least, when she feels as though she's only been a way for a little over a week and also over half a year, all at once. Still, things are slowly falling back into place - like where to find the best berries in the woods, and her favorite route from home to the Plaza, and other such details - and if Eustace happens to arrive at the Plaza before she does, he's not left waiting for very long.

Ori will offer an enthusiastic little wave when she sees him again, not even hesitating to close the distance between them so that she can wrap her arms around him for a hug. Did she up her Strength score in the time she's been away? Maybe. ]

It's so good to see you...!

[He doesn't arrive much earlier than she does so he just waits until she approaches—and is a little surprised by the hug, stiffening a little at first.

Just because he's intimate with Tifa doesn't mean he's used to it from others...!!!!

But he does relax about a moment after and pats her head.]

Likewise, it feels like it's been quite some time.

[He didn't really see her much after his own short yet long extended leave, so it's really the first time they properly met in a while.]

[ Forgive her for this one (1) hug, Eustace, she hasn’t seen him for eight months! Ori is used to getting this kind of reaction from her casual acts of affection, at least, so she doesn’t keep him trapped in her hug for very long, stepping away with a smile after he pats her head. ]

Come to think of it, Tifa mentioned you had some funny business going on with different time lapses, too… It really is strange adjusting back to being here, isn’t it?

[ Yeah that’s right they were talking about you, Eustace!! ]

[......

Why are they talking about him—

He gives her an odd look before he slowly answers.]

...Yes, it was at least a year, possibly closer to two depending how I should consider my time in Camelot in conjunction with time in my own world.

[And then a pause.]

What were you talking about?

[With Tifa.]

[ For a moment, all she can really do is stand there, mouth agape, and her eyes wide. A year— eight months felt long enough, but to be gone for a whole year, maybe more? Granted, maybe the years are shorter in the places he came from, she wouldn’t know, but still— ]

That’s a very long time… But I guess it’s good that time passed as normal, here, or else a lot of people would be missing you.

[ Yup, all of them, missing him equally as much, since it’s not like he has someone special or anything, right?

She’s so caught up in that time dilation that she nearly misses him asking about her and Tifa’s conversation. ]

Huh? Oh— I was telling her about how eight months passed for me at home, and she mentioned that something similar had happened to you… Although come to think of it, she’s mentioned this “Camelot” place, before… Another world that you two were in, right?

Three days...

[Though it was still too long. Much too long. His expression darkens a little in remembrance before he continues to answer Oriphi's question.]

But that is correct. I didn't remember it until recently, but we had originally met in that world.

That’s still so incredible to me… You two must have been through so much by now.

[ Oh, Ori, if you only knew.

She really does want to know more about traversing other worlds, but she sees the way that his eyes darken with the recollection of the experience, and she decides not to press the matter further for now. Maybe another time, she can learn more about how that could be possible… If it really would be possible for her to do something like that, to find her partners should they ever be separated.

…But anyway. ]

Ah, but I did promise to show you my teleportation spell, didn’t I? Come on, this way.

[ She’s going to usher them to the nearest tree, with a wide enough trunk that would, say, fit a person Eustace’s size through. ]

[Honestly he would have thought Oriphi had guessed their relationship, but given the lack of questions he's starting to wonder and stares at her for a moment before he follows her to the tree.

...]

Do you use trees?

[ As if on cue, Ori’s hand glows with an arcane power as she holds her staff which she’s totally been holding this whole time, pressing the palm of her other hand to the tree trunk. She waves the staff around, muttering an incantation, and from the hand of hers on the tree, a small magical portal opens up.

She glances back over her shoulder at him and says, with a smile, ]

I do! It’s very convenient.

[ Then she pulls her hand away, in a gesture almost like she’s pulling a door open, and the portal grows to the size of a real door. She steps aside and gestures for him to approach. Although it’s on the other side of what seems like an arcane veil, Eustace would be able to see the Corgi Tree if he looks closely enough. ]

This spell creates a portal through two trees. I can only hold it open for about a minute, so let’s go!

[He continues to watch in wonder before he nods and follows after her when she goes through. It's...definitely a strange sensation, knowing he's stepping through a tree to traverse a considerable distance.

And they can already hear the corgis barking from inside.]

...Is this considered as high magic?

[ When they step through, it truly does feel like they’ve just stepped through the threshold of a doorway, only that they’ve actually stepped through a considerable distance.

The portal closes behind them afterwards, the magical feeling in the air dissipating shortly to give way to the sounds of corgis barking, and Ori makes her way over. ]

Hmm? Oh, yes. That’s right! I can only cast this spell once a day.

[ They’ll have to walk back, oops. ]

Back home, though, I could use this spell to travel across the world as long as I’d been there and know about the trees that are present. It’s a bit more limited by distance here, I think… Plus I haven’t really traveled everywhere here, you know?

Hm...so it has that kind of limitation.

[He follows alongside her, only glancing back at the tree in thought.]

Have you tried extending it with additional dreamotion?

[ Her brow hitches up in surprise. ]

Huh… I hadn’t thought about trying that. Maybe I will, one of these days. Or at the very least emulating it so that I could take two-way trips, hehe…

[ The barking of corgis gets louder as they approach the house. ]

But, there you have it. Your quick demonstration of tree transportation! Next up is trying to teach you how to speak to animals, right?

Yes.

[LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS MORE and as soon as he opens the door, out bound the stubby floofs, barking happily at them both.]

Hopefully it will be easier. [.....Ah.] I forgot to mention that when I was in that other world, I had learned magic that allowed me to speak with and transform into animals. Unfortunately I haven't been able to harness it as I did there, but at least within dreams I found it easier to utilize similar results with dreamotion.

Oh, hello, all of you!

[ When the door opens and out come the corgis, Ori immediately enters and sits down on the floor and lets them climb all over her. She's missed them for the last eight months! ]

I missed you all so much!

[ She hasn't even cast her spell to talk to them, she's just talking at them. But she's also so caught up in this wholesome reunion with the corgis that she nearly misses that Eustace is dropping some important information on her entirely. ]

—Oh! Really? That's amazing... Maybe you were a druid in that world. But it sounds like you're halfway there, Eustace. We just need to practice and maybe come up with some dreamotion exercises for you!

Hmm, I hope so.

[He crouches down as he ruffles their ears and rubs a few bellies. He can hear them barking and sometimes he thinks he hears something, but...alas.]

I miss knowing what they say.

[ Funny you should mention secrets, because now is the time that Ori casts her animal-speaking spell. The gestures and the incantations would be familiar to Eustace, by now, and she casts a smile at him before she turns back to the dogs and says, ]

Your dad wants to be able to talk to you all. Wouldn't you love that?

[ The happy barking is enough to indicate, even without a spell, that they very much agree. But they continue to bark some more, and what they say seems to catch Ori off-guard— ]

[ She turns to look back at Eustace with a quirked brow. ]

They said, "Where's mom?"

[Eustace is oblivious—until Oriphi asks that question.

At first even he looks confused before his brows raise in comprehension.]

Ahh.......

[HMMMMM. He is eying the dogs for a moment, silent as he wonders how to answer. And then decides to just answer straight.]

They must mean Tifa.

[Simple and straight to the point without much fuss aside from that moment of contemplation. And now he braces himself for the questions—]

[ Her head tilts curiously at his pause, but his ever-so-calm demeanor and the way he answers just has her nodding, as if she totally understood the implications of it all. ]

Ah, right. Tifa...

[ And this is where that proverbial record scratch would be, because wait— ]

Wait.

[ If the dogs are calling Eustace "dad" and Tifa "mom"... What does that mean!?

The corgis, meanwhile, are continuing to bark excitedly and asking her where 'mom' is!! ]

I—I've noticed that you two are close, but I... Are you two together...?!
