Can't say I mind this new locale very much. Would mind it a lot less if I didn't get separated from my brother, but if this place really is some extra elaborate dream thing, then he'll be fine.

So while I wonder if my nephew smacked me hard enough to send me here, I should make myself known. The name's Dante, the founder of Devil May Cry. We're guns (and swords) for hire who specialize in the supernatural and lemme tell you, we've seen a lot of weird stuff. Ancient portals to Hell reopening, cults using demonic power to pose as gods, blood sucking demon trees, we've handled them all. I ain't suggesting this is all demonic powers at play here, but it wouldn't surprise me.

"But Dante, you handsome devil" you're probably saying, "there's probably a few demons here already that are pretty cool. You're gonna offend them with this." And maybe I would, if I left it there. I've taken enough cases to know that not only are there good demons just getting by, but also bad people - human, demon or otherwise - manipulating who and whatever they can to get their way. Those are the people we kill. Like a Lady friend of mine once said: even a devil may cry when they lose a loved one.

I was just about ready to go into sort of retirement, but given the circumstances, I got at least one more job to do. Wanna collaborate? Chances are it won't be my weirdest.

I like it. Real cozy. Could sell all that in a flower shop, too.

You start growing any basil and we could make some margherita pizzas.

Oh, sounds like a great idea already. I will remember to include herbs and spices as part of the shop offer during this stage of shop preparations.

Hm, I never had a margherita pizza but that seems to be a really good dish like many dishes Mamá would often make at home.

Cultural exchange? That's what I'm hearing. I tend to stick to my favorites, but I won't say no to trying new things.

Of course, I'm not expecting those herbs and spices to be given away. Don't have much of a green thumb myself, but how about the occasional odd job or request to cover the cost?

I could try to make some of the food she has made. It may not turn out as good as hers, but I’m putting all my efforts into trying.

Well, you can always work part time to gain some of them. It seems that in most parts of times, it looks like not everyone don’t trust the leprechauns and their gold that easily.

They got their own superstitions. Don't remember 'em right now, but it's probably best not to trust it.

But I won't mind the extra work. It'll keep me busy. Besides, I'm willing to bet you're a better cook than I am. I usually order in.

Not a problem, Señor Dante. I can show you what the store looks like currently someday and chat more about the stuff it will be selling.

I’m have been working around to learn to cook on my own for some time, so I could safely say that it has been improving. What sorts of food you would normally order in?

Pizza. That's one of those foods I can eat for the rest of my life. I'm good with any topping that's not olives.

But I'm open to trying new things. What are you willing to share?

That sounds pretty delicious. I might give it a try someday.

Oh, my turn this time? I can tell you a lot about the miracle that had been a foundation for many of my family’s gifts and helped our town to thrive for half a century.

Oh, and we happen to have a magical sentient house too. It is a thing in our world too.

No kidding. Magical living house? Friendly spirit, too? Putting the whole "if these walls could talk" phrase to real work there.

Makes me think of my office back home. Not so magical, but like me, it's gotten knocked down and stood back up plenty of times. Would probably ask me to stop kicking the doors open, though.

Yes, it is a living breathing entity with a mind of its own. Don’t worry, Casita is very friendly and is a great listener too. It always tries to make sure that me and my family are doing well and help us whenever we have our tough times. You’re definitely correct about it taking the metaphor quite literally.

It sounds like your office from your world is similar to Casita as well. Maybe minus the magical aspect, but still similar enough, I suppose.
