Subject: November nuts??
Warning: wink-wink dirty humor. Put the kids to bed, please.
Good evening, fellow dreamers! A question again, and I promise it isn't about hot dogs being sandwiches. Which they are. Nobody saw fit to convince me otherwise.
My question involves the month known as 'November' and something about a lack of nuts that I overheard two people swearing to the other day. Can someone explain what miserly sort saw fit to ban a perfectly serviceable food item for two fortnights? I require pecan pie in this fantastic time of year, and am more than willing to bend the law in justice for the noble nut, the loyal legume!
Perhaps it's a culture thing? Please indulge me.

I hadn't heard there was some sort of nut ban this month! Must be some modern rule. Who can make it through even part of the fall without a hearty slice of pecan pie or other such delicious delicacies?
no subject
EXACTLY!! I must have pie. It's warm and comfy and just the right amount of sweet, perfect with a cup of coffee. I will throw hands on whoever instituted this ban .

Not that I have any allergies myself but I believe there are some diet customs to that.
Do I even want to ask about the hot dog thing?
no subject
Hot dogs are sandwiches, and cereal is a soup, a stew or a chowder depending on how you slice it. Thoughts?

As for the actual question--]
Hm. Perhaps a challenge?
no subject
A challenge, though? I suppose that could work, but that would make for a number of sorry recipes. Who makes eggnog, for instance, without nutmeg?

Mayhap a challenge for those who enjoy them? If pecan pie is such a staple of the season, I can see why they might find it difficult.

nuts are banned? no wonder i couldn't find any cashews for dipping in chocolate! that's terrible, we need to do something about it!
ihadto
Not the cashews!! Those are wonderful oiled and salted too. I've gotten somewhat of a hang of growing plants using dreamotion, so perhaps I should invest some energy in sprouting some trees. Then I'll have a load all saved up!
i'm sorry
