third entry π± in the spirit of gift giving
Sender: Zelda
To: Everyone except Link
Subject: Recipes
To my fellow residents of Reverein,
It seems time has gotten away from me and Goddess Day is already fast approaching. Goddess Day is a Hyrulean holiday that falls around the same time of year as [ What was the name of that holiday from last winter's dreamscape? ] Christmas, where we traditionally share gifts with our loved ones.
This year, I have decided to give a book of cooking recipes to my knight, Link. It seems he has an appreciation for cooking that equals his appreciation for eating! I thought at first to simply purchase such a book or acquire one from the wishing well in trade for one of my baubles, but then I devised a much better idea.
As there are many accomplished chefs among our number, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to share a few of their recipes with me. I am especially interested in recipes that originate from your homeworld; I would love to compile a collection of recipes as diverse as our community. And the more challenging, the better! Link is far more skilled than I knew and I should not like to bore him with recipes designed for beginners.
With kindness,
Zelda, Princess of Hyrule
P.S. Kindly refrain from telling Link about this gift. Thank you.
[ ooc; actual recipes optional! feel free to just describe what kind of recipe your character is sharing, if they're sharing one at all (sharing a recipe is also optional). ]

Forgive me, Zelda - I didn't know that your knight has joined you in this realm too! That must be wonderful. I'm more than happy to share some of my recipes for your gift. I think it's such a lovey idea!
Do you know what kinds of foods he enjoys?
no subject
Yes, Link awoke here in midsummer. Having him here with meβ [ There's a notable pause as Zelda searches for words. ] It is truly wonderful! I cannot find the words to describe just how happy I am to be with him again.
I hope you do not think me coy in answering this way, but I am hard pressed to think of a food Link does not enjoy. Except, perhaps, for raw frogs.

[ Will he suggest a recipe using spiders? Maybe, maybe not. ]
no subject
[ A recipe using spiders might be perfect for someone like Link, who would probably try any food once. ]

That would be lovely, thank you! I do not see Link craft many specialty beverages. [ She pauses to consider. ] Now that you mention it, I do not know the allowable drinking age here in Reverein. Nor if it is calculated by the age of one's physical form or the length of time one has been alive.
[ When you've been in magic stasis for several decades (or a whole century) and haven't physically aged, these are the things you need to know. ]

I have been hoping to see Link back at the Harvest again. I've been taught many recipes over the months I would be willing to share, but the only thing I know so far is that he seems to enjoy tacos.
no subject
Tacos? [ Mentally searching her mind for what that is. ] I don't believe I have tasted tacos before. What are they?

you get some dried noodles. I mean I guess you can go with whatever, but typically you start with dried noodles. Then you pour in your real hot water to make the noodles not dried anymore. You start addin' in the spice powder packets. Then you start addin' in even more spices. The hotter the better. You let it all sit and mix for like Five or so minutes and bam. Delicious!
no subject
Spicy food does seem like the kind of thing Link would enjoy. What sort of spices are in the powder packets?

Is there anything specific you're looking for? Main dishes, soups, desserts? Anything the recipient likes or dislikes in particular?
no subject
I am hoping to make a well-rounded cookbook, so recipes from all of those categories would be lovely. I cannot think of any food Link genuinely dislikes, but I personally would prefer to avoid recipes that incorporate a significant amount of rocks.
[ Link might enjoy rock roast, but Zelda will pass, thanks. ]
