Is that the girl who I heard can turn into a panda? I heard of her, but I've never met her.

Yes! She came forward about it some time ago. I thought maybe she was the best friend of which you spoke, but I suppose not, then. [ oops ]

Huh, ok. I didn't know that, no worries. But yeah, she's not the friend I was talking about.

[Is that a hint that 3 might actually be true..? Possibly.]

[ Huh... How would Mei feel about this, she wonders? Well, perhaps if she ever learns more about his friend... ]

Then, is number 2 the lie? This is harder without being able to see your face or hear your voice.

Bingo, number 2 is the lie. Honestly I just put it there cause it sounded funny in my head. Surprised how many people thought it was true though.

But honestly even if we were playing irl, it might not be much easier. I can’t really talk normally under most circumstances.

Hooray! That was a lucky guess, I suppose. [ It was a 50/50 chance between the two remaining...... too bad she gets no prize for this, but she's starting to get how this kind of time-wasting stuff can be childishly fun. ]

Oh right, I forget not everyone here knows the same abbreviations. Yeah, irl = in real life, so face to face. If we were face to face, you might get my facial expressions but I'd still have to write my answers down.

Hmm. Well, that is true. How useful seeing those expressions would be probably depends on the kind of person you are.

[ Is he an easy read? The wear-his-heart-on-his-sleeve type? Is he even a good liar...? ]

That aside, I wonder if I should give it a try?

Yeah, those things would probably make the game easier for some, or harder for others. Figured people would have more of a fair shot over text. Or writing in this case.

[Toge tries his best, but as a Cursed Speech user, he's a little hard to understand sometimes.]

Why not? You don't gotta give any deep secrets or anything, just fun trivia stuff is good.

Huh. All of these sound really plausible, which is the tricky part. But before I answer, could you tell me what's a judicial assistant? Sounds like some kind of lawyer thing.

Well, um, not a thing, but they work closely with lawyers, yes. Typically they attend trials, do research, and provide insight into the case. They also take notes, transcribe testimony, and compile everything when it is all over.

Huh, that sounds like a lot of hard work. Like, you're doing all the legwork it sounds like.

Okay, but for the sake of your game... is 3 the lie?

While I have come to appreciate romance, my heart will always belong to mystery and intrigue. Good job! [ There are some dashes drawn, meant to symbolize confetti. ]

Haha, thanks. And I agree, mystery novels are kind of cool. They really keep you guessing.

Wait I gotta ask. If you're a lawyer's assistant, does that mean you know Samurai Lawyer?

closes mouth. Too bad he can't see it, but at least he has successfully distracted her from going off about Herlock Sholmes. ]

Yeah, I know him. He's a friend, kinda. He's also the first lawyer I've met who's also a samurai.

He's also the first lawyer I've met, but like, details.

I had no idea...

I've known him since I was very little. He is still an excellent swordsman and a proud samurai, though he sadly hasn't been a lawyer for quite some time.

Yeah. We've both been a little busy, so it's been a while, but he's a nice guy. I met him when I first arrived here, and he seemed pretty smart.

Wait, really? From how he sounded, he seemed like he was still working.

Let's see... I believe this will be his fourth, going on fifth year away from our homeland now? He still works, but nowadays, he and I manage the Wild Harvest together. [ Along with Mr 76, of course. ]

Holy shit has he really been away from home that long?
I remember him saying something about coming from a world before this one but 5 years is pretty damn long.

No doubt. It has only been a little over a year for me by comparison. I still miss it terribly on occasion, but I suppose our friends do make it feel a little more like home.
