Subject: A couple special announcements!


[The message will come across the journals in the morning of the 11th, and before Tifa already begins writing, there will be inky, smudged, and noticeably small paw prints decorating the corners of the page.]

Hey Reverein. Tifa here! Eustace and I have another announcement to make. Two this time, actually.

First, some of you might already know this, but I've been wanting to open up my own place here in town. Been something of a goal of mine for a while, and now that the wedding's over, Eustace and I have been working on making it a reality.

Next month, we'll be opening up a bar and café just off the main plaza, and I'll be serving drinks, coffees, and food, but this isn't just going to be any café. Our plan is to turn this into a sanctuary for stray animals around town that might need a home, some food, or someplace to keep warm. Everyone will be free to meet the animals, and who knows... Maybe one of them will catch your love and attention, and they can find a more permanent, stable home.

Or, if you just like animals, feel free to come play and spend some time with them.

Look for a notice in your journals around this time next month! Hoping to have a grand opening when the time comes and see you all there, so be sure to stop by the Starflower Sanctuary and Café when we do!

We have some new additions to the family.

ohmygosh dog-eared babies would be so cute!

so where did the actual puppies come from?

From a pair of our corgis. I'm not sure how familiar you are with them, but Cadoc and Rhonwen are the oldest.

[ A pair... but that means there's more than one set of dogs even before the puppies? ]

How many dogs do you guys even have?

We are personally looking after one wolf, one cat, and seven corgis. But we also look after the Flowers, which is a family of five.

[And now they have seven corgi puppies.]

So like are you guys living on a farm because that's kind of a lot of animals???

No. The Flowers have their own tree in the neighborhood, and the corgis originally lived in another tree out in the Wildlands. I've built a lower addition beneath our tree where they stay now.

Eustace built a freaking addition to his house just for the dogs. And maybe a guest or too (in this case it working out since Lyria's arrived).]

soooo are you gunna build a whole new one for all the puppies?

No. We do plan on adopting most of them out once they're older.

Oh, that's good! I bet a bunch of people here would really love a nice doggie! I've never had pets, but I've heard they're a lot of fun!

They are, but they are a lot of responsibility as well.

Have you ever wanted a pet? Not necessarily a dog, but perhaps a cat, rabbit, bird...?

Mom says pets are too much of a distraction and they might dirty up the temple and bother the customers.

But you don't have to worry about that here.

Sure I do! I still have responsibilities and homework here!

I understand. Knowing when you can't take care of something is proof of being just as responsible.

But if you ever feel like being around animals, you can always visit the cafe.
