[The message will come across the journals in the morning of the 11th, and before Tifa already begins writing, there will be inky, smudged, and noticeably small paw prints decorating the corners of the page.]

Hey Reverein. Tifa here! Eustace and I have another announcement to make. Two this time, actually.

First, some of you might already know this, but I've been wanting to open up my own place here in town. Been something of a goal of mine for a while, and now that the wedding's over, Eustace and I have been working on making it a reality.

Next month, we'll be opening up a bar and café just off the main plaza, and I'll be serving drinks, coffees, and food, but this isn't just going to be any café. Our plan is to turn this into a sanctuary for stray animals around town that might need a home, some food, or someplace to keep warm. Everyone will be free to meet the animals, and who knows... Maybe one of them will catch your love and attention, and they can find a more permanent, stable home.

Or, if you just like animals, feel free to come play and spend some time with them.

Look for a notice in your journals around this time next month! Hoping to have a grand opening when the time comes and see you all there, so be sure to stop by the Starflower Sanctuary and Café when we do!

We have some new additions to the family.




[And their ink is smudged again as more pawprints appear across the paper. That's it. That's the end of their announcement. They have seven puppies to wrangle, so please bear with them!]

[No seriously. As much as Ken loves dogs, he knows he can't handle that many...!!]

...We're still considering what we will do once they are older. But we also have friends and acquaintances who help look after the dogs.

[And then there was a pause. Then there was a longer pause. And then there was an even longer pause...!]

Do you mean the puppies?

[It's not obvious because writing, but Eustace has a wry grin as he had a feeling this was what Ken really wanted to ask.]

They're still too young right now, but yes you can visit and play with them when they're a little older.

I have to admit, I am missing my dog and I do want to play with them.

You're welcome to play with the other dogs we have. It's only the pups that need to be "quarantined" for now.

What kind was yours?

I had a shiba inu.

Although, he was really smart for a dog. It seemed like I really wasn't talking to an animal sometimes.

Have you considered using the Wishing Well to bring him here?

I could but I don't really want him to be here if he doesn't want to!

I miss him but I don't want to make him mad!

I think he would rather be with you, regardless of where you are.

You think so?

I just would hate to wish him here when he would also be leaving his teammates behind too.

In this case, he would be in a similar position as us—just a dream version of himself.

However, being considerate of what he might feel is also important. It's proof you are a good friend to him.

Well, it would be rude to just do that to him.

Friend or not, it's just inconsiderate to do that to anyone. It's making them come here against their will, isn't it?

That's one way of looking at it. And in your case, you do exist in your world so it might not matter as much.

For me, Eria my wolf would not be able to see me without being here as she comes from a different world. Though I also believe that even if I were still with her, she wouldn't mind being with me here, too. She doesn't care what world it is—she just wants to be with me.

I see. You got a really loyal wolf, that's a good thing!

Although, I have to admit, I can't imagine knowing that someone you care about a lot is from a different world. That just seems really heartbreaking...

It is.

But all the more reason to make the most of what we have.

[Or, in Eustace's case, look to see if he can change the rules so they can all stay together as one happy family— But he's also a realist.]

I suppose we do. Hopefully one day, if someone from my world comes here, I can make most of what I have with him...

[Hm? Sounds like there's someone he cares about from his world, which isn't really that surprising.]
