Subject: A couple special announcements!


[The message will come across the journals in the morning of the 11th, and before Tifa already begins writing, there will be inky, smudged, and noticeably small paw prints decorating the corners of the page.]

Hey Reverein. Tifa here! Eustace and I have another announcement to make. Two this time, actually.

First, some of you might already know this, but I've been wanting to open up my own place here in town. Been something of a goal of mine for a while, and now that the wedding's over, Eustace and I have been working on making it a reality.

Next month, we'll be opening up a bar and café just off the main plaza, and I'll be serving drinks, coffees, and food, but this isn't just going to be any café. Our plan is to turn this into a sanctuary for stray animals around town that might need a home, some food, or someplace to keep warm. Everyone will be free to meet the animals, and who knows... Maybe one of them will catch your love and attention, and they can find a more permanent, stable home.

Or, if you just like animals, feel free to come play and spend some time with them.

Look for a notice in your journals around this time next month! Hoping to have a grand opening when the time comes and see you all there, so be sure to stop by the Starflower Sanctuary and Café when we do!

We have some new additions to the family.




[And their ink is smudged again as more pawprints appear across the paper. That's it. That's the end of their announcement. They have seven puppies to wrangle, so please bear with them!]

While you're not wrong, they're also still newborns.

I appreciate the worry, but I can always regrow any damage to my clothes. [ And hair. ]

I'm eager to see them grow up, however. Have you chosen names?

Not yet. I may look through some of the old records back at the corgi tree to draw some inspiration.

A splendid idea.

But if you're ever stuck, I'm sure your friends would be more than happy to offer ideas.

[ A personal touch, from their closest friends! Not that it matters much, since it's Tifa and Eustace's ultimate decision. ]

But I will not offer suggestions unsolicited. That is your decision to make.

I don't particularly as long as you're aware they might not be chosen. I'm more amused that you'd be so willing to offer some.

I am aware. I've only been thinking of how I might be able to honor my firstborn siblings while here. Surprisingly, a good friend's puppies seem to be my greatest opportunity.

[ does the jesting tone come across in text... ]

[Wow. He's actually not sure if Trahearne is being serious or not, but he'll bank on the latter.]

Perhaps you'll be able to name one of them.

Do you have a preference on temperament or personality? For the name.

[ Hmm... Riannoc is such a distant memory now. ]

My brother was like the sun. He dreamt of being a hero, and he was valiant, unyielding.

I suppose a puppy like that might be a handful, but I don't mind the challenge.

Given their pedigree, I wouldn't doubt if one has that kind of temperament. But we'll see in the coming weeks when they start growing their own.

Keep me updated. Regardless if you have a pup with that sort of temperament, I'm looking forward to see how they will mature.
