[The message will come across the journals in the morning of the 11th, and before Tifa already begins writing, there will be inky, smudged, and noticeably small paw prints decorating the corners of the page.]

Hey Reverein. Tifa here! Eustace and I have another announcement to make. Two this time, actually.

First, some of you might already know this, but I've been wanting to open up my own place here in town. Been something of a goal of mine for a while, and now that the wedding's over, Eustace and I have been working on making it a reality.

Next month, we'll be opening up a bar and café just off the main plaza, and I'll be serving drinks, coffees, and food, but this isn't just going to be any café. Our plan is to turn this into a sanctuary for stray animals around town that might need a home, some food, or someplace to keep warm. Everyone will be free to meet the animals, and who knows... Maybe one of them will catch your love and attention, and they can find a more permanent, stable home.

Or, if you just like animals, feel free to come play and spend some time with them.

Look for a notice in your journals around this time next month! Hoping to have a grand opening when the time comes and see you all there, so be sure to stop by the Starflower Sanctuary and Café when we do!

yeah. one guy got lost goin after a smell he really liked and forgot where he lived.

he told me what his person looked like and that helped a lot in finding his family.

I grew up with a dog who listened to a lot of whatever was on my mind but he barked like every other dog did at home

Here. Back home was different cuz Pochita isnt a normal dog

he was a devil, but he was my pal through a whole lot of shit. devils eat humans but he was pretty cool with me and listening to my stories.

It was just a bit unexpected. If you say it's a dog, then I believe you.

So you said he was a devil?

yeah. devils pop up and crunch on humans all the time. but some of em are OK if you know how to deal with em.

just some tho. most are really into the human snackin thing.

You make it sound like they're a common occurrence.

yup. there are volunteer devil hunters in every city who handle the little guys like the tomato devil or whatever.

the big guys like katana devil or whatever else are where me and the others come in.

the more people are afraid of somethin, the bigger and tougher that thing's devil is.

Are they born from fear?

i dunno. but humans give em power and a way of food so... maybe?

wouldn't know what they really did before humans came along. maybe there are dinosaur devils...

They sound similar to the noctaere here, which are born from nightmare energy.

Yes. If you accumulate or are exposed to enough nightmare energy, you can turn. Suffering or experiencing numerous traumatizing events can also accelerate and create it.

There is a way to keep it in check and maintain a balance, but it all depends on one's willpower. Even then it would depend on how greatly affected they are by the source of those nightmares.

Partly. It will be different for every person, but it boils down to not letting the fears and nightmares control you. Accepting and working with them is a better way to handle it.

Just be wary if you have a lot of bad dreams, I'm sure you'll notice whenever it happens.
