Subject: A couple special announcements!


[The message will come across the journals in the morning of the 11th, and before Tifa already begins writing, there will be inky, smudged, and noticeably small paw prints decorating the corners of the page.]

Hey Reverein. Tifa here! Eustace and I have another announcement to make. Two this time, actually.

First, some of you might already know this, but I've been wanting to open up my own place here in town. Been something of a goal of mine for a while, and now that the wedding's over, Eustace and I have been working on making it a reality.

Next month, we'll be opening up a bar and café just off the main plaza, and I'll be serving drinks, coffees, and food, but this isn't just going to be any café. Our plan is to turn this into a sanctuary for stray animals around town that might need a home, some food, or someplace to keep warm. Everyone will be free to meet the animals, and who knows... Maybe one of them will catch your love and attention, and they can find a more permanent, stable home.

Or, if you just like animals, feel free to come play and spend some time with them.

Look for a notice in your journals around this time next month! Hoping to have a grand opening when the time comes and see you all there, so be sure to stop by the Starflower Sanctuary and Café when we do!

We have some new additions to the family.




[And their ink is smudged again as more pawprints appear across the paper. That's it. That's the end of their announcement. They have seven puppies to wrangle, so please bear with them!]

[OOC: both are available to respond, but Tifa will mainly focus on inquiries about the café and Eustace will field comments on the puppies.]

I'd be open to any suggestions. We may own a lot of animals on our own, but I know surprisingly little about food for them. That's more Eustace's forte.

Who knows, we might end up with some rabbits, or other small animals, too.

[sermom]

Of course. Some foods might be inevitable, depending on the style of cafe you're going for, but as long as people are careful not to feed the animals, it should be alright. Chocolate and grapes I believe are bad for both. Cats shouldn't eat raw eggs, raisins, or normal dairy.

Oh, rabbits... that would be so sweet. I wonder if we might ever see rappigs in this world.

[starshower]

[She does take note of everything that Kisara is saying, but she HAS to ask...]

Rappigs? Is that exactly what I think it sounds like?

[sermom]

Oh, probably. It's a very cute farm animal that looks like a stubby pig with rabbit ears.

[starshower]

Oh! Well, it definitely sounds cuter than whatever I imagined in my head.

But if we've got chocobos here, who's to say we can't have rappigs? Maybe all we gotta do is dream them up... and hope that they come out the way we remember them.

[There are certainly some... interesting versions of creatures here.]

[sermom]

In that case, I hope I dream of accurate rappigs tonight. Or... whenever the time comes for new creatures to appear here. I'd love to see them again. (Though I would love more to taste some of their bacon, if I'm being honest.)

[starshower]

I'm sure we could make that happen, if they ever showed up. There are some great places around town that could, from what I've heard.

But having a rappig or two in the sanctuary... wonder how much chaos that would cause. I've never looked after a pig before.

[sermom]

It's a shame Law isn't here anymore. He was a real expert with the ranch back home. If the need arises, though, myself or Alphen could give you some tips. They're actually quite docile! It's the horses that are the real chaos-causers.

[starshower]

Oh, don't I know it. Eustace and I have a pair of horses we keep at the stables, and they've got big personalities.

I'm convinced they might actually be in love with each other...

[sermom]

Oh, careful. If you don't watch them, you may end up with foals along with the puppies.

[starshower]

I'm starting to think we might already be on our way. Might have to start looking into some stables across the street.

Interested in a horse?

[sermom]

I'm not sure. I've never raised a horse to be kept before. But they could be useful for traveling long distance here, right?

[starshower]

Maybe I'll take you out for a ride someday with mine.

[sermom]

I'd love that, if you're willing.

[starshower]

Of course! How about when it's nicer out, we can take the horses out together? I'm sure they won't mind the exercise, and meeting a new face.

[sermom]

That sounds like the perfect day. Any time you're free for that, I'll make space in my schedule. Should I bring anything?
