[The Story Eater has been vanquished and most of the elements it summoned have disappeared. But caches of Malice that appeared during the event have stubbornly remained around Reverein. Link isn't much of a journal post person, but he decides to say something anyway.

[ It only makes sense that he would have chosen to stand up to the challenge - that it would fall on him one way or another whether he decided upon it or not, fate being what it is. The exhaled breath of her lukewarm relief is incentivized largely by the fact that she imagines she'd have heard of it if he were injured too badly in the process, so she can only assume it went well enough.
