I was wondering...

There are so many people here from a lot of different places, aren't there? Are there any holidays that are important to others? Or - maybe even just dates that are precious for any reason!

I thought it would be fun to share. And... maybe even celebrate those special days here. At least-- it could help us feel a little closer to home...

I love holidays like Christmas, Halloween and Valentines! All of them are a lot of fun! And even if we don't celebrate those kinds of holidays here there's always ways to honour their ideas! It's always great.

I think my favourite holiday would be Halloween. But it's nearly a tie with Christmas.

Have you heard of those?

I love those holidays, too! It's a lot of fun to be able to dress up... or, even to share a day like Christmas with someone really important.

It might sound silly to assume this with so many different places out there, but... maybe we're both from somewhere similar?

haha, is christmas about being with someone you love where you're from? that's really cute.

and we might be! what i've learned is that there are a lot of worlds with a lot of similar things about them. i'm from a world called destiny islands and it's really small.

I've never heard of it, but... Is it really that small? I've never thought of an entire world being something that would seem that way.

I'm told I'm something of a terror involving what they call 'Christmas' and 'Valentine's' here.

I can fully attest to this.

Well, not a literal terror, I'd suppose! It's more that I greatly enjoy it and my enthusiasm gets on some folk's nerves.

But, that isn't a bad thing at all! Holidays are a special time. I think that... when one person is excited for them, it can help make others feel the same way, too.

but I only got to celebrate em recently, since I have a place to live and money to spend now.

I guess that it's true that animals can help, but...

I think that's really admirable, you know? Sometimes, it's really hard to be strong when something sad happens.

We don't have too many holidays in my village. But this time of year, it is similar to this Christmastime. The elders and I make toys for the good little boy and girl Cookies, as they dream of magical Cookies riding trains to deliver presents.

That sounds like a nice dream... I think every kid dreams of having a special Christmas, but... I didn't know it was so common for children to get gifts on Christmas until now.

This might be a silly question, but are cookies important in your world?

I see! I'm sorry if that was a rude question... But, that's kind of amazing! There's so many different places out there that I never thought could exist out there.

Does that mean that there are living cakes in your world, too...?

the holidays where i'm from are pretty similar to the ones here.

i can't say i have any one that's particularly special to me.

[Celebrating holidays wasn't always possible given her work schedule. Disasters do not go easy on holidays.]

though, really. i haven't had the chance to think about holidays recently back home. so just being able to celebrate things in general is pretty nice!

The job you had at home must have been especially important if you haven't had the time to celebrate.

But, if you don't have anything in mind... Is there one you especially liked while you were here?/span>

the schedule was also hard to predict and not very flexible so it kind of sucked like that.

but yeah. i guess it was pretty important too.

well, halloween was pretty interesting? but i think for me, it's probably more important who i'm celebrating with rather than which holiday it is, you know?

Well, where I'm from -- originally, there weren't many celebrations at first, but eventually we started having --

Well, there wasn't really a sun or anything to tell time by, so they weren't regular in the same way festivals and holidays here are, but we'd occasionally have one for Light and one for Dark, to celebrate our beginnings and our beings.

... It's a little hard to imagine a place with no sun. But, I know that-- a lot of people's homes are special to them.

And, sounds like all of you tried your best to find a way to find a way to celebrate with everyone, even if they weren't something done all the time.

There was still... light, in a sense, but it didn't come from the sun, just in irregular waves. I think someone was working on plotting it out properly when I left.

It was a lot like here, actually, in that it was easy to... How to say this, impress your will on? To make the world be a certain way by wanting it that way? We had our own kind of Dreamotion; all of our magic was suited particularly to us, but in a different way from Dreamotion. It took me a while to get used to when I was here, because of that!

Did you have any celebrations particularly special to you?
